i love the spirit of this young woman who takes on the role of a leader in an era that sees true changes enmerging for women in a stodgy society that threatens any move towards changes to a different perspective. Miss Fox absolutely is a force to be reckoned with, yet she somehow seems to leave more smiles in her wake than one might imagine were possible! Delightful characters and imaginative settings with truly interesting cases to solve. i will enjoy this series!

These characters, the various families, the small town pride and the simple joys of life are so effectively portrayed, i feel i am at a happy reunion with each new book. plenty of mystery and surprises, and satisfying pleasure in love and growing relationships. Keep 'em coming!>

Loved this meaningful rendition of historical events that brought me through fearful times in the early part of the 2nd World War in Britain. The book was made real by brilliant writing coupled with stellar performance so that one feels as though we are truly experiencing the fears, the alarms, the loneliness, exhaustion of war but also the joys and exhilharation of family and dear friends. Highly recommend!

Surprises make this story even better

i truly enjoyed this story and its characters. The plot has plenty of twists and unexpected turns, with characters making thoughtful decisions that bring courage and respect to mind more than once. The direction of the story was never stagnant...it kept me guessing, sometimes irritated because i thought the character made the wrong choice, but always intrigued. A great read, and i will definitely look for more books by Elizabeth Camden!

BARBARA ROSENBLAT WAS DEARLY MISSED

This book had the story and characters we have come to love in the Mrs Pollifax books but was considerably diminished by the reader employed instead of Barbara Rosenblat. none of the characters sounded right. I was very disappointed.

Dorothy Gilman does not disappoint!

Another tale of travel. Another recounting of unexpected meetings and well thought out plans being mercilessly blown out the window. Amidst disarray, one begins to detect a familiar pattern of interesting and amazing people, of earnest, hard working common men and women with deep devotion and appreciation for kindred spirits, regardless of skin color or native tongue or religion. When good triumphs over evil and the battle is won...celebration and appreciation is sweet. Well told and satisfying....as always!

A shining star in the Mrs. Pollifax series!!

Never a dull word, always a new and fresh view...I so enjoy Mrs. Pollifax! her unquenchable thirst for travel and adventure, for meeting new people and seeing the world...this adventure in Sicily did not disappoint, and left me yearning for more
