Great story, fantastic narration
Revisado: 01-06-25
I really enjoyed this listen…the tale is a timeless classic. And the narration is fast-paced, energetic and often quite funny, esp. Verne’s scientific descriptions and the voices of Ned Land and Conseil.

Historia
Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

Amazing writing, brought to life by perhaps the best narration I’ve ever listened to
Revisado: 11-09-24
I’ve heard a lot of great narrations, this perhaps tops them all. Barbara Kingsolver does an incredible job telling the story from Demon Copperhead’s perspective and the narrator brings that perspective to life

Historia
Based on 10 years of research and a vast cache of primary sources located in archives in Warsaw, Paris, London, New York, and Washington, D.C., Alan Walker's monumental Fryderyk Chopin: A Life and Times is the most comprehensive biography of the great Polish composer to appear in English in more than a century. Walker's work is a corrective biography, intended to dispel the many myths and legends that continue to surround Chopin.

Great biography but would benefit incredibly with music clips
Revisado: 05-23-22
Amazingly researched and written biography of Chopin, but I can’t help but wonder what it could have been if they had included music clips to take advantage of the Audible medium to truly bring this book to life.

Great narration

Great narration of a captivating story. My favorite part of the narration is the hilariously ridiculous German accent when voicing Vogel.
