Story is good. Narrator is not.

So far I really like the world building and the story. the narrator is killing me though. He sounds like he had a speech impediment. He mispronounced common words like christening pronouncing it with a hard T. The word deal was said Dill or Dilling as in dealing with a problem etc... The way he says Idea nearly makes me throw my phone and snaps me out of the story!!! On top of all of that the way he does female voices makes them sound even more masculine than the men or like brainless little girls. I know this has to be a hard skill to do but every other narrator i have ever heard can do it!

nice light fare... I enjoy this author

this is a nice light book nothing too stressful this is exactly what I enjoy listening to on long drives between very stressful appointments keeps your attention just enough to keep you awake but not enough to cause your heart rate to go up

Is this woman intellectually disabled?

this is tingly the worst book I have ever heard regardless of the fact that it's about gastroparesis the advice in it is contradictory to itself I bought this book because I do have gastroparesis I will not finish this book because I do have a brain. the tone of the book is both elementary and also condescending with many statements of you will love this so much or I hope you will understand why I'm doing this.the author speaks as though she expects everyone to have the intellectual and social capacity of your average three year old. and considering that she states no peanuts of any kind and then no dairy of any kind and then she states that you should start out with some natural peanut butter and that cheese is always safe.you could find better advice on the back of a pharmaceutical label trying to sell you a med that will give you a life-ending side effect.
