Endowed with Wisdom, she knows why Asherah—God's wife and equal, the Queen of Heaven—is missing. Lilith has a plan: she will rescue Eve, find Asherah, restore balance to the world, and regain her rightful place in Paradise.

Best book I’ve read in a long time!
Revisado: 12-29-24
The novel had an excellent story line, the characters felt real, and the narration was perfect. I will re read this book again and share it with my sisters. Men should read this book if they are curious about how the notion of only one God can subvert women’s power making them slaves in the home while simultaneously destroying the earth. Be kind to your mother 🌎🌍❤️

Historia
Legends say that the island of Joya was once a place where songbirds sang in every tree and the islanders were free to come and go as they pleased. That was before the harsh-ruling Governor arrived, and ravens drove out the native birds. Now there are no songbirds, and the people are forbidden to travel beyond the forest that separates them from the rest of the island. But for Isabella, the legends of her island home have always seemed like more than just stories.

The travel details and plot line were interesting. The performance wasn’t my favorite, but I got used to it after a while. Would recommend

Historia
Nobody needs telling there isn’t enough time. We’re obsessed with our lengthening to-do lists, our overfilled inboxes, work-life balance, and the ceaseless battle against distraction; and we’re deluged with advice on becoming more productive and efficient, and “life hacks” to optimize our days. But such techniques often end up making things worse. The sense of anxious hurry grows more intense, and still the most meaningful parts of life seem to lie just beyond the horizon.

Perspective shifting and easy to listen to
Revisado: 07-27-23
I really enjoyed the flow of the book and the narration. Oliver Burkeman gives a refreshing look at why we feel we need to make the most of our time and where that lie comes from. I can honestly say I have shifted how I look at my daily life after listening to this book. It is also an interesting jumping off point to the study of time and an insight into group habits.
I highly recommend it to anyone who feels stuck or too small.

Historia
From the beautiful apsaras of Hindu myth to the swan maidens of European fairy tales, stories of flying women - some carried by wings, others by clouds, rainbows, floating scarves, and flying horses - reveal the perennial fascination with and ambivalence about female power and sexuality. In Women Who Fly, Serinity Young examines the motif of the flying woman as it appears in a wide variety of cultures and historical periods, in legends, myths, rituals, sacred narratives, and artistic productions.

I thought the information was very interesting and well researched.
The narrator spoke quickly and did not fluctuate their voice often. It made the story feel drier than it was.
Still totally worth a listen!

Wonderful story
Revisado: 07-30-21
I have recently been interested in reading Indian mythology. The stories are so
Imaginative and entertaining but very one sided. This booked filled in the female side of the story and introduced character motivations That were lacking in direct translations of the text. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in stories that have strong female leads or Indian mythology. I finished the whole 13 hour audiobook in 3 days! I couldn’t push pause!
