As we grow up we often forget how a teenager has to deal with the same issues but in a world we're they sometimes feel unheard. This is a great book for a teenager and their grownup to read together to start the conversation about sexual harassment at school- cause it does happen.

A Powerful Story

I have always admired Michelle Obama. I never idolized her, but watched her grace and how she carried herself even when things got rough. As I listened to this book, I've cried and laughed. I've related to situations grounding up, but most of all it opened my eyes to voice I have and the impact my words has on the world.

Even more a Fan

If you have watch him on YouTube or Comedy Central before you know how funny Trevor Noah is, but you only get glimpses of his background. This book even with the hard topics of domestic abuse and inside look at South Africa's apartheid, Trevor does what he does best- find humor in the situation while still taking it seriously.

Another keeper

I fell in love with Susan May Warren's book over 15years ago with Reclaiming Rafe, and each book keeps getting better.
The Christiansen saga has so many layers that you can't help but want to know what happens next. The youngest daughter doesn't wants to find her way and with the help of God and a protected (yet loving) family, she has to make a choice.

Susan May Warren has done it again.

Even though I am already a HUGE fan of Susan May Warren, she has out done herself again. Finished it in 2 days. However to make it better, Cynthia Farrell performance was captivating. With Susan's magic words and Cynthia narration of it, I couldn't pit it down.

Another Great Book

I struggled to get into this series. not because I don't love Susan May Warren writing, but because I get so attached to her characters that it hurts when it is over. After The Christiansen's series, I wasn't ready to get emotionally invested again. How wrong I was!
This book is a great introduction to remarkable characters that I am ready to learn more about. Blazing Kate and Judd is a couple that is meant to be together, but does God love them enough to give them happiest.
Sub characters- Connor, Ruben, Peter, and Jillian are character that have a story and I can't wait to hear about it.

Great Class Novel

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The film didn't do this book justice. It (the book) is so much better. I have to remind my students that you can't start the book thinking about the movie, because it is so different. This gets the class engaged to what is in store.

Any additional comments?

This is a great book for struggling readers. It keeps them on the edge of their seats the entire time. My class has read it every year and even the ones who have to read it again are excited to find the clues they missed the first time.
