Historia
The year is 2044. Housed in a secret complex beneath the eastern Arizona desert, a consortium of governments and corporations have undertaken a program on the scale of the Manhattan Project to bludgeon the laws of physics into submission and make time travel a reality. Fraught with insecurities, Marshall Grissom has spent his whole life trying not to call attention to himself, so he can’t imagine he would be remotely suited for the role of time travel pioneer.

Wonderful narration, terrible story
Revisado: 02-11-22
The schlocky sci-fi and terrible teen-aged boy level sexuality of this book couldn't be saved by the wonderful narration.
I couldn't even get to the point in the story where it looks like the chapter files are out of order because I couldn't stand to listen to more than a few hours of the painfully told story of nonsensical science fantasy and ridiculous Gary Stu character who is a big nerd and tall and lanky but has a huge... asset... that he's embarrassed about because he can't keep from staying constantly... on. It's all just eyerollingly terrible.
For full disclosure, I stopped listening at Chapter 16 and returned the title.

Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

Another Gaiman Classic

Gaiman's writing and voice bring these timeless stories to life in a new and fresh way.
Both my daughter (10) loved listening to these stories and discussing them after listening to this book together.
The author's voice is a perfect medium for sharing the tales that he researched and presented to a modern audience.
