Revisado: 04-05-25
Jesse Bernstein *is* Percy Jackson. The labyrinth is a scary and cool concept. This book brings Tyson, Grover, Percy, and AnnaBeth back for another quest. And the mystery of Pan is solved.

Revisado: 01-30-24
The first 3 books in this series are excellent. Well plotted, original, compelling characters. I love the reader for this series as well. The ones that come after are good but a touch repetitive. This one is a good mystery with some great fight scenes and creepy!

One of my favorite allingham books
Revisado: 06-26-23
Clever plotting, set in Cambridge in the 1930-40s. This mystery is a touch lighter than some of her stories (where Campion is in more danger or in a state of. If JT Mariah confusion). Uncle William is one of my favorite Allingham characters. He also makes an appearance in The Beckoning Lady.
David Thorpe is an excellent reader for these works. I do miss Francis Matthew’s’ version, though.
Enjoy!

Great series
Revisado: 05-17-23
I am hooked on this series. This is not my favorite in the series but as always it delivered good entertainment. The narrator is outstanding. You do come to love the characters.
The plot for this one was less intricate and the villain a bit thin on motive and character development compared to books like patient zero, dragon factory, and King of Plagues. Well worth a credit though. And looking forward to the next book.

Alex Verus is part of a world hidden in plain sight, running a magic shop in London. But when Alex is approached by multiple factions to crack open a relic from a long-ago mage war, he knows that whatever's inside must be beyond powerful.

Lighter than the Dresden files, but similar elements and plenty of action. Set in London and features excellent world building. The main character is a bit arrogant but overall easy to sympathize with. Magical creatures,
Strong characters, and excellent plot ideas keep you interested. Narrator is excellent. Definitely recommend for fans of urban, paranormal action

Entertaining with a touch of romance
Revisado: 01-10-23
If you like paranormal mysteries, you will enjoy this series. Hannah is a strong heroine and there are lots of good ideas behind this version of the London society in 18th or 19th century. The hero is likable as well. The romance is done with a very light touch. Narration is top notch. Enjoy!

Historia
Bo Tully is the sheriff of Blight County, Idaho, where law enforcement is usually pretty mundane: tracking down truants running away from school, picking up country boys who've had a few too many beers. But Tully gets a little more than the country norm when an ex-con calls with the startling news that there's a corpse draped across one of his fences.

Laugh out loud funny
Revisado: 06-05-22
I love small town characters and small town mysteries. This one was a lot of fun. It starts when Bo Tully, Sheriff, had a murder on a ranch. He instantly rustles up Pap (previous Sheriff) and brings him in on the case as a birthday present. Their exchanges are hilarious and they manage to solve the murder without getting snot themselves. Reader was top notch. Highly recommended

So glad you reissued these
Revisado: 05-23-22
Thornyhold is one of my favorite Mary Stewart books. I love the gentle and homely magic that threads throughout the story. The romance narrative is nice but really this is about women coming into ownership of their lives and women’s magic. It’s a magic that only comes through hard and satisfying daily work and presence.
If you love an English countryside story, gardens, animals, and the small pleasures of daily living this book will bring you joy.
