a fabulous story that keeps moving from start to finish & keeps you guessing. the not coven covens tactics to throw others off are crazy funny. a strong MFC, that can take care of herself,that happens to have a MMC love interest with touch her and u die determinations! are all what make this a bloody wicked 1st book in the new series by Suzanne Wright! so worth the credit and a reread! probably a few times😀

needs a new narrator

the story itself wasn't the best of the series, but still a good book worth reading not listening to. the female narrator unfortunately was very disappointing. I had to speed up the narration to 2x the normal speed to get a normal speech pattern, not something that is overly drawn out. there was also no difference between male and female, or characters in the narration, making it at times hard to follow the dialog. I was hoping for a less predictable story for smoke. it felt a bit rushed to me compared to the other books, especially since I had been looking forward to his story. pls to listen/read the book it was good.

was OK til the last 25%

the story was doing alright in this book then took a big nose dive the last 25%.the MC way over reacts to things she already knows why the geas was placed instead calls everyone a lier and runs off with people chasing her. the MC is supposed 2 have all this training in how to fight n be a bad a$$ and have the most magical ability but as soon as the weakest person comes to kidnap her she just let's they w/o a fight?

90% sex 10% that's it?

literally every chapter was half or all about mating. there was 10% story to this book and this new info happens when the book is almost over. I have loved and laughed my lil heart out thru the series and will continue on ,but this book will not be on my reread list :( I was so hoping for more dragon funnies of communication & trying 2 understand their mate. ie eye sweats and needing the daily head petting so it doesn't happen! lmaf! :) next book here I come!

the book was good was better than the were-dragon book that followed the same outline. it would have been better had it not repeated the previous books in the last 12hrs verbatim. if it had been from the main characters pov & glossed over the chunks that he wouldn't have been part of, it would have made it a 5 star for me. I found myself FF though the last half of the book, until the last 30min where it became new info.

literally forgot I was listening to the book. the whole book could have been cut down two 3 or 4 chapters of good keep you hooked stuffed. it has a nice premise but gets lost with all the extra drawn out and some what vague fillers.

a lot of miss spoken words either from typos or mispronunciation, but I liked the story line. even though Syssi is portrayed as the most self centered crybaby making everything about her . that gets annoying fast
