Historia
On the fringes of the Cicatrix Maledictum, the Black Templars of the Second Dorean Crusade tear through the void to join the crusade fleet on the sands of Tempest – an ancient, storied shrine world. Assailed by the murderous warbands of the Blood God, the crusade has come to burn the planet clean of the Ruinous Powers once and for all. But when a violent warp storm scatters the fleet, the Dauntless Honour is left battered and alone in the void. Besieged by doubt, Castellan Emeric and his brothers must cling to their faith and carve a way to Tempest.

Fantastic performance and great storytelling.

The story echos Helsreach, but not in any negative way. I would say this is the second best Black Templars book you can buy. One of the best performances from the Black Library too.

Wrong narrator. If you listen to it at 1.25-1.50 speed it will make it easier to listen to. Great story. It's everything you could ask for in an Alpha Legion book.

Historia
For ten millennia, the Black Templars have continued the Great Crusade, remaining true to the Emperor's dream of a galaxy free of the alien, the traitor, and the mutant. One of the few Chapters to venerate the Emperor as a god, they strive always to follow His example and secure His Imperium for all mankind. This anthology brings together seven tales of the sons of Sigismund, including an exploration of High Marshal Helbrecht's first crusade and three stories from the Third War for Armageddon.

An amazing performance, but even better, was the story told. It shows what you'd expect, but also other sides of Black Templars Space Marines. It shows that some Marines still have a very, very, very small bit of humanity left, and in an even rarer occasion show pity.

Historia
The fortress world of Regium has a proud history, For millennia, it has endured when others have fallen to ruin and damnation, standing defiant in defence of the Imperium of Man. But now it is shaken. Parasitic plagues run rampant, and Regium's citizens are haunted by dreams of horrific monsters feasting upon their flesh and marrow. Lieutenant Castamon of the Ultramarines recognises these signs of an impending Tyranid invasion all too well. Rallying his warriors, the battle-hardened veteran launches a strike force to slaughter the xenos in the outer system, before it can reach Regium.

Wish they used multiple narrators. It seemed that the story had too many different characters, and the narrator didn't have enough range. Most times, I couldn't tell what character was talking. it was a struggle to finish the book

Historia
A war-weary Battle Group Praxis arrives at the Knight world of Kamidar, ruled by the Iron Queen Orlah, to return the queen's slain daughter and heir, who died in Guilliman's name. In truth, the Imperium's mission here is twofold: to strip Kamidar of its resources in order to resupply the flagging armada, and to prepare the Ironhold Protectorate to become part of the defensive Anaxian Line, a crucial bulwark for the Indomitus Crusade.

Save your money, and read a synopsis on r/40klore.
Revisado: 03-05-23
I struggled to finish this story. It's by far the weakest of the Dawn of Fire books. They introduced some of the most uninteresting characters I've ever read in a Warhammer 40k book and killed the more interesting characters we followed in past Dawn of Fire books. The Black Templars storyline is the most compelling story, and the performance by John Banks was exemplary. Your time would be better spent reading a synopsis. Overall, this is a below average story with a high-quality production we come to expect from Games Workshop's Black Library team.

Historia
When Colonel Haskell 'Hell Fist' Aldalon and the Catachan 57th Jungle Fighters arrive on the quagmire world of Gondwa VI, they find it locked in the grip of an ever-growing greenskin threat. Rather than shoring up the meagre existing defences, the Catachans elect to go on the offensive and retake the strategically vital Outpost Four. In the process, they are saddled with the sole survivor of the outpost's fall—the barely trained Trooper Torvin, of the Skadi Second Infantry.

Good Catachan story, but better Orc story.
Revisado: 04-06-22
Think it's a good story. Only problem I have is with the pacing. Speed of character growth happens blistering fast for 1 of the 3 main characters, but listening to the growth of all the main characters was enjoyable.
