The reading was the best
Revisado: 06-28-24
I found this storyline difficult to appreciate. I think the female assassin was a bit too fantastical in an otherwise very authentic story. But the reader’s performance was so excellent that I was willing to go along and appreciate the book as flawed as it is.

Not quite good enough
Revisado: 04-15-24
Too much tedious detail. Too much exploitation of sexual attraction, instead of concentration on the story and action. Could have been good, but was really silly

Interesting predicament
Revisado: 12-12-23
There are moments of suspense and surprise, but it ended predictably, which was a disappointment.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.
