performance
Revisado: 03-18-21
This book was not as well performed as the 1st book. I enjoyed the accents from the 1st book. This one sounded as if the voice over was trying to hard. Was hard to keep up with different characters

Historia
Once upon a time, a girl named Sophie rode into the forest. Her lips were as red as blood, her skin as pale as snow, and her hair as dark as night. When she stopped to rest, her huntsman companion took his knife, plunged it into Sophie’s chest...and removed her heart. Yet Sophie doesn’t die. She’s rescued by seven mysterious engineers who manage to fashion her a temporary heart.

love it

the narrator did an amazing job capturing so many different voices! it was hard to get into the book for the first chapter, but after that I was entranced. Love the different rendition of this story.

Historia
Magnus Chase has always been a troubled kid. Since his mother's mysterious death, he's lived alone on the streets of Boston, surviving by his wits, keeping one step ahead of the police and the truant officers. One day, he's tracked down by an uncle he barely knows - a man his mother claimed was dangerous. Uncle Randolph tells him an impossible secret: Magnus is the son of a Norse god. The Viking myths are true. The gods of Asgard are preparing for war. Trolls, giants and worse monsters are stirring for doomsday.

it was doable

The performer was semi monotone. Wasn't unbearable though. I could still follow his characters voices.
