Good if placing faith in self-help
Revisado: 05-04-25
This is basically just a self help book. there is little Orthodox about this. I guess I find more spiritual books more helpful in my healing journey.

Professional guesser comes to a conclusion
Revisado: 04-19-24
My overall impression is that this guy is very well educated in ancient literature. He writes very well and is informed about many historical possibilities. However, he uses this great skill and education to cut down extremely naive theological arguments. When he comes to a most plausible conclusion, I am left wondering if that conclusion was based on the many, maybes, probably's, usually's, and plausibly's that he used in the preceding sentences. I've read several histories of the Bible, and this one stands out as least rigorous, which is surprising in light of the Author's credentials.
