Lock and John are great protagonists. the narrator is wonderful and the stories keep you coming back for more. this is the 3rd book in the series, but it's really 2 books in one - a story in the past as well as one in the present. I hope there will be more w these characters!

I know others have already stated this, but if it makes a difference for the rest of the books, I'm adding my 2 cents.. The primary narrator is awful! The best description was that she sounds like one of the Munchkins in the Wizard of Oz! She's got a lisp and an annoyingly nasal voice. The other narrator is awesome and not just compared to the primary one. She's got a great voice and does a great job. Please, please change the narrator!

Love the story, but the reader sounds too old

The voice sounds like the voice of a much older man. When I started listening, I assumed the main character was in his late 50's/early 60's due to the voice. I had a hard time re-thinking it when it came out that he's 30 something. The story is good, so I'll buy the next one in the series, but consider getting a different reader for upcoming books in the series.

The author has me gripped from the start. The narrator just gets better and better as more characters are added to the series. I don't know how he keeps track of all the voices for all the characters. I highly recommend this series. I'm downloading book 6 now. Trying not to listen too fast and "catch up." I don't want to have to wait a year between reads!

Boring, boring and more boring

There was no excitement or conflict. The 2 main characters were madly in love in 2 minutes with nothing to indicate why. The big finale was nothing. The reader had the same voice for all the characters (and she sounds like my 91-year-old aunt from Iowa). It was just boring. I have read a lot of Anne Mccaffrey in the past and loved her books, but I won't be buying more from this series.

What was most disappointing about Isaac Marion’s story?
The entire thing. I can't believe they made a movie about it. I accidentally pushed a wrong button in my car and changed the track instead of the volume. I normally am so into the book I'm listening to, I pull over and find my place. Instead I listened to another book that I'd already heard until I got home and found another book I hadn't heard yet.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment and anger that I spent a credit on this.
