When Malinda Rose accepted a job as a live-in nanny at a plush mansion in Manhattan, it sounded easy. Room, board, and a nice paycheck; however, she really had no idea what she was getting herself into.... The owner of the mansion is reclusive billionaire Garrett Millieur, a man who surprises her with his youthful good looks and attractively authoritative nature. Amongst other things, he makes an odd request, that his son Brandon must never leave the mansion. Ever.

Nosey Heroine but Enjoyable Hero
Revisado: 05-01-16
I'll give credit where credit is due - I really had no idea where this story was going. An atypical paranormal shifter romance complete with a naive, all too understanding and nosey heroine paired with an alpha, bad tempered and mysterious shifter.
The unique twist on the shifter mythology was a refreshing and intriguing one and definitely scored bonus points. It is not common that I find different takes on the shifter myths and when I do, I greatly appreciate them. The hero and the heroine were not two people I would ever picture together and honestly I was a bit surprised that they would even want to be together. To be honest, I did not like the heroine at all. She was way too nosey for her own good and quite frankly she seemed like an idiot. Garret was your typical alpha male who had a deep secret. What was new and interesting was that he was truly afraid of his shifter "gift." Most of the shifter romances involves the shifter embracing their shift but with Garret, he truly feared it.
This was a complete books with no cliffhangers and in interesting plot. It did have the typical lull in the middle but it still continued at a steady pace allowing a listener to easily complete the book in one sitting. While I am unsure if I would listen to this book again (the heroine really killed me sometimes) I would have no problem looking into some of the authors other works.
Am I credit worthy? Maybe. I honestly think the narrator might have been the reason I disliked the heroine (if you notice I keep saying heroine because I actually forgot her name...) the narration of her voice was so whiny and sounded clueless that it was hard to not laugh outright.

Torkel...you had such promise.
Revisado: 05-01-16
Welcome to a world that would be absolutely terrible to live in if you were a female. Due to an epidemic on Earth's soul, female outnumbered males 10 to 1 and sometimes even 20 to 1. Obviously, the men take advantage of this and are never without female companionship. Earth has discovered that the human race is compatible with over 90% of the alien races. They create (or join?) a government program that picks up women from different planets and drops them off at a planet of their choosing to be married. This situation is ideal for women like Faith Reid who wants to love, marry and eventually have children and knows that there is no way it will happen on Earth. Besides it only costs $20,000...
Torkel Alonson lives on the planet Enotia. He is a strong Jutak warrior and leader of his adopted planets military. Though Torkel has lived on Enotia since he was a baby, many of the Enotians cannot forget that his true race is one who enslaves people. His friends and family do not care about his heritage considering all the good he has done for the country but the chosen do...Every year their is a ceremony where men enter into the sands in order to be chosen by a female and wed them. For seven years Torkel has been passed over because of his heritage and he has vowed that this will be his last year entering. If he doesn't get chosen - he will live out the rest of his life as a loner.
Faith choose Enotia as her destination and when she is about to disembark from the ship a man stops her. He offers he a deal - he wants her to pick Torkel in exchange for money. Hesitant at first, she then decides that she may need the money and decides to pick Torkel. Thus resulting in a long winding road down the rabbit hole...
This book started off decent. Their were quite a few plot gaps that left some questions but not too many and the story was still easily followable. Torkel and Faith have an instant connection, mostly due to the fact that Faith got drunk, but the issues surrounding Torkel's heritage keeps rearing its ugly head.
My real issue with this book is towards the end when the hero just completely gives up on the heroine. Yes, I understand he thinks she betrayed him but he didn't even care that she was kidnapped and being forced to do god knows what? Then to make it worse, Faith was the one to apologize and not once did I catch Torkel apologizing for his callousness. Unfortunately because of his actions I no longer could stomach Torkel and his lost everything that I originally adored about him.
I did get off on a little rant there and I must digress and say that even though I disapprove of what happened between the couple the story was fun and intriguing and I truly enjoyed the world building and the concept that the author created. I will easily continue the series to see what happens to Torkel's team members as well as visit the other worlds!

The Freaking Penny
Revisado: 04-17-16
Pia Giovanni is half-human and half-Wyr. She has spent her life keeping a very low profile among the Wyrkind in order to protect herself. When she is blackmailed by her jerk of an ex-boyfriend to steal something from the most feared and respected of the Wyrkind, Dragos Cuelebre, she knows she has too in order to keep her secrets hidden but also knows that if and when Dragos finds out...she's toast.
Dragos Cuelebre is incredulous when he finds out that not only did someone have the audacity to steal from him, but they also succeeded! Determined to catch and punish the thief, he is greatly surprised and intrigued when he finds the young women Pia to be the clever thief. Instead of killing her, her spares her life because he can't help but feel a huge desire to be with her and protect her.
This was a really fun book and I absolutely loved the world building! I must admit though, that at first I was really darn confused with all the different elements of the world. It was a major info dump that was a tad much. There are the Wyr, the elves, the fae and more that I found myself a bit overwhelmed. Eventually it all evened itself out and I was able to fully immerse myself fin the story.
Pia was fun, clever and a rather hilarious character. When she is forced to steal from Dragos, she steals a penny. Just an ordinary, everyday penny and to make it better? She even leaves him a note with another penny! It was so ample but I couldn't help but laugh. She is also a strong and brave women for although she admit to herself that she is afraid of Dragos, she stands up to him and refuses to cower in from of him.
Dragos, on the other hand, is commanding, huge and completely baffled by his reaction to Pia. More Dragon than man most of the time, he doesn't quite understand his reaction to Pia only that she is his and no one else's. Dragos' entire way about him was something truly refreshing and honestly quite hilarious. He is so knew to normal human concepts because he barely pays attention to them which just makes him that much more charming and lovable when he is trying to impress and "behave" for Pia!
Dragos and Pia together were a great combination of stubbornness, understanding, possessiveness and kindness. The two were pretty perfect and add in the secondary characters and it was even better. I loved all the interations between the fierce sentinels and the Pia, the girl with the questionable heritage, and how they all came to love and adore her just as much as Dragos did.
Truly this was a great book and I look forward to reading/listening to the rest in the series. It was a great fantasy romance with major elements in both genres which did not allow one to overshadow the other! Definitely a new favorite series of mine and one I recommend to anyone interested in Dragons, fantasy and romance!

Start Buggin Yo'
Revisado: 04-17-16
The story starts off with a bang when Cat wakes up from a night terror from a vampire whose face she cannot see. She has no idea what it happening to her and these dreams just won't stop coming at her. Bones is more than a little concerned that his wife is having these night terrors and that she failed to mention their severity and their frequency.
Come to find out, these are no ordinary night terrors because, of course, Cat is have never been an ordinary individual. The night terrors belong to those of a vampire named Gregor who is older and more powerful than Bones and has ties and memories or her past that she herself has no knowledge about. Cat cannot help but be curious about the man who claims she belongs to him while at the same time knowing full well her heart belongs to Bones. But she can't shake the feeling that Gregor is someone she should know, even if she has no recollection of ever meeting him before...
This is probably one of my favorites (because lots of Vlad) and least favorite books in the series and I gave it 4/5stars. The plot focuses on the battle between Cat, Gregor and Bones and their claim on who the half breed actually belongs too. Secrets are unveiled, pasts are revealed and bonds are tested making this book one heck of a ride.
I absolutely loved the concept and mystery of the plot and naturally I will always love Bones...but both Cat and Bones infuriated me in this book. Cat, even after everything they have been through, was still hesitant to trust Bones on certain things concerning her safety. Bones, on the other hand, was completely overbearing and was almost aloof towards her that I wanted to slap him.
I have to say though that they big "issue" in the book really irked me. It was funny how stubborn both of these characters are that neither one of them seemed to understand each other or trust one another in this book. They have been through so much and then something like this, while it was pretty big and dumb, is the big issue in the book? It actually overshadowed the main plot with Gregor and I almost wanted to skip ahead because I was tired of the pity party.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the book, I just wish the entire middle section of the book was minimized. I understand it was needed (to an extent) but it was just too long and I just didn't have the patience. The only good part about the middle of the book was Vlad and thank god he was there to keep my sanity while Cat and Bones had their immature spat.
Okay, yes I know it seems like I am really hating on this book but I'm not. The beginning was good and the end, while very abrupt, was also good, it is just that darn middle that was just so irritating that I can't help but rant just a little bit. Nonetheless, I would still easily recommend this series and this book is crucial to continue the series so you can't skip it and honestly it is worth reading even if it just to mentally chastise Bones and Cat for their silliness because let's face it, they still have a weird undying love and I just can't help but swoon every time they are together.

Good Cop. Bad Cop. Billionaire Cop!
Revisado: 04-16-16
Dante Sinclair is a filthy rich dominating billionaire who couldn’t care less about the wealth he has inherited from his longtime wealthy family. (Though to be honest, we see only a few mentions of his so called wealth so it was hard to imagine him being a billionaire.) All he has ever wanted to be was a cop and that is what he set out to be, becoming a homicide detective in Los Angeles. Life is going exactly how he has envisioned it until the night everything changes when he partner and best friend Patrick is kill in the line of duty. With Dante seriously injured both physically and mentally after losing his partner, he goes to Amesport, Maine to be with some of his family members and to simply heal both his body and his mind.
Sarah Baxter is a genius. She is a gifted doctor who has a painful past buried in Chicago which she left behind in order to move to Amesport a year ago. Being socially awkward and way to analytical for her own good, Sarah has never really had friends or people to talk to and when she finds them in Amesport she is ecstatic and falls in love with the small coastal town. When she is handed the case of Dante Sinclair in order to help him recover she has no idea what to expect but it definitely wasn’t the all consuming attraction to the sexy, brooding billionaire.
The story of Dante and Sarah was a sweet and comical adventure that definitely held my attention from start to finish. The fierce protectiveness that Dante showed Sarah at every turn was a completely stereotypical alpha male characterization and call me silly, but I will always love that about them. Sarah’s complete naiveté towards almost everything was so sweet and refreshing it was nearly impossible not to like her. It is not often the heroine takes center stage for me, but Sarah definitely did! We got to experience things with Sarah that she never had the chance too in her sorry excuse for a childhood.
This is a nice slow buildup of romance though it has some serious erotic elements laced throughout. The story is not solely about sex, though that does feature quite heavily and I could have definitely done without the f-word being dropped so much, it is also about helping Dante heal through his grief, watching Sarah discover that life does not have to be always analyzed and the painful past that unveils itself and once again comes after Sarah.
With 70% Sex, 30% Plot, this book is a fun, relatively quick listen with a narrator who definitely succeeded in capturing my attention from the very beginning until the very end.

Arthur, Lancelot, Guinevere...oh my.
Revisado: 04-16-16
Fountain of Secrets is the second installment of presumably four (considering the four powerful relics) books in the series.
The story picks up immediately after the conclusion of the first book, Guardians of Stone, leaving Kendall, Jake and Nathan back at Nathan's mansion to contemplate and think about the events that have occurred in Italy. Soon Kendall and Jake once again find themselves on another mission by Nathan which, not surprisingly, delves them into another relic hunt or mystery, danger and secrets.
This second installment is very similar to the first; however, it definitely lacks in the action and is more built on the romance. The plot itself revolves around Kendall, Jake and Nathan searching for the Fountain of Youth. With Nathan keeping secrets, he is rarely with the group until the later parts of the books which proved to be a bit annoying - especially with the developing romance.
The characters were nearly identical to what we saw in the first book except with the continual bonding and openness we see with all of them. Kendall is noticing both Jake and Nathan are more than just her coworker and boss. Jake is noticing how much he is starting to care for Kendall as a women. Nathan is still mysterious as ever, but we start to see him being more open, caring and protective of the girl he seems to love and the man he thinks a brother.
The developing plot took an interesting turn and quickly lead to tales of King Arthur and his knights. Though most people know of the tales of King Arthur, with the first book being about the Spear of Destiny, I had no idea that this would lead to King Arthur in anyway. I found it both intriguing that it took this route and very confusing and farfetched.
As we found out in the first book, it is hinted that one of these two men may or may not be Kendall's long lost friend and first love, Adam. With that in the air, she constantly finds herself comparing them and I can't help but wonder if she is making her romantic decisions based on the past or on the present. I knew the romance would be more prominent in this book though I will admit I do not like where it is heading. What was once a very small and insignificant love triangle possibility, it has officially bloomed into a full bloody love triangle - which I despise.
Though fun and intriguing, the book and series itself seems very predictable to the point I am not sure if I will continue it. It is not a bad book or series, it is just a plot that, at least for me, is easily guessed at and though I do not know where the romance is going, I love both male characters too much to watch either of them face the heartbreak that I am sure they are going too.
Fans of King Arthur tales, reincarnation, treasure hunting and secret foundations will definitely love these books and should definitely check them out. Note that these books almost need to be read in order otherwise you may find yourself very lost and confused.
Credit worthiness? It was free through Kind Unlimited so I did not use a credit though I would probably not use a credit towards the audiobook as the narrator was not a favorite of mine and I found it difficult to differentiate between the characters voices and was not as into the story as I would have preferred.

Female Indiana Jones with a twist...
Revisado: 04-14-16
Kendall Morgan is a modern day Indiana Jones with a twist – her sixth sense. Since she can remember she has always had an uncanny ability to sense the history and location of objects and sometimes people too. Growing up hunting relics with her father and best friend, she always loved what she did and after a tragic plane crash that killed everyone she loved, she dedicated herself to finding and protecting the relics of the world. When her boss, the reclusive and mysterious billionaire Nathan Larraby, asks her to help uncover the location and procure four powerful relics, she accepts and soon finds herself flown to Italy with a brooding and mysterious mercenary Jake Stone. The two of them head off in search of the first relic and soon find that things aren’t all what they appear to be.
Two words: Loved it!
The book revolves around our three strong, stubborn and flawed characters: Kendall, Jake and Nathan. Kendall is our female Indiana Jones and uses her sixth sense to find and locate objects and sometimes people. She uses her gift sometimes more than her brain and I am honestly surprised she hasn’t gotten killed over it yet. Sometimes her stubbornness and impulsive nature really made me want to smack her and talk to her about being smarter about her decisions. That being said, she also had a determination and curiosity about her that was truly envious. Jake, our brooding, mysterious and horny mercenary was an interesting character to say the least. I will honestly say, I didn’t care for him at first. He was a pig and sexist and just irked me the wrong way too many times. After awhile he did grow on me but it did take a bit longer because of his earlier attitude towards Kendall. In the end, he proved to be stubborn, protective, and while he was still horny as a dog, he truly seemed to care about Kendall and her well being. Nathan, was also an interesting character but I did like him more than I did Jake. He was very reclusive and mysterious but he had an air of mystery, determination and desperation that made me want to delve into his head and find out everything about him. I will admit though that he did some irksome things, especially with all his secrets! Too many for my liking but I can see how they help the book along.
The plot itself was very interesting and definitely followed the whole Indiana Jones theme we have going on. They are relic hunters who are searching for an item and hopefully retrieve it faster than the sinister Reaper does. Speaking of the Reaper, though we know he is the one after the relic and while we do find out some stuff about him…I still wonder if he is actually real. My only real qualm about the plot is how fast it moved. I mean it FLEW by. I felt as though I was almost rushing through the book just to keep up. I think things could have been slowed down a bit, explained more and given a bit more detail instead of the quick hints and details were were given.
I am curious as to where the romance will go in this book because while it does have romantic elements in it, there is no real inclination as to which way it is going. As of now there is no love triangle per se, but it is possible it could lead to one in future books which has me worried. Hopefully not as I already know who I want her to end up with and it better happen! And I think it will because as much as I enjoy this book…I think I already know where everything is going because unfortunately it is a bit predictable. Nonetheless, I will still continue to read the series because I enjoyed the adventure, the mystery and the history that is revealed! A fun and action filled adventure that I am glad I picked up!

What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?
Tavia Gilbert has become my favorite narrator and I cannot wait to listen to basically everything she records. She perfectly portrays every character with flawlessness that it completely baffles me how she can be the voice of all these unique individuals and still give them a different and accurate voice. I officially adore and love her narration and cannot recommend her enough!
Any additional comments?
When it finally seems as though everything is falling into place and Cat and Bones can live without problems...an unexpected women from Bones's past shows up determined to end him once and for all. But apparently, it is not just Bones's secrets that will be revealed, but also those of the secretive and powerful Mencheres.
Honestly, for the most part, these books keep getting better and better and I cannot help but be enamored and obsessed with these books. Cat and Bones are stronger than ever and while I will admit at times Cat does frustrate me, Bones always makes up for it with his accent, protectiveness, loyalty and downright badassness. (Yes that is now a word.)
Though Cat is annoying at times, she is showing much improvement from the first book as she is slowly, but surely growing into a more mature women. Tate, oh how I want to hug you and slap you. His love for Cat will probably get him killed but his loyalty and unfailing protectiveness can't help but make me want to hug him. Similarly with Annette, though I despised her in the beginning, I am slowly (very slowly) learning to deal with her. I don't like her, but she is growing on me. Mencheres is still as secretive as ever but we start to learn about his past and his motives. Justina and Bones had some of the best interactions in this book and I constantly found myself laughing uncontrollably over their banter. Nothing much has change with Bones as he is still the strong, dependent and oh so romantic hero that we all fell in love with. And then we meet Vlad. Vlad Tempesh, the master vampire, commonly known as Dracula! I think he was by far my favorite addition in this book and I truly hope we see more of him.
The villain in this book is none other than Pantra, a women we have not been introduced too but it is not someone that the vampires are unfamiliar with. Determined to end Mencheres and Bones's existence (though I can't tell you why) she uses everything in her arsenal, including forbidden magic, to destroy them. She is a psychotic killer who believes she is literally a god and is someone I would not want to be in the way of. Of course, that is exactly where Bones and Cat place themselves with their friends and family by their side.
At Grave's End introduces us to a whole new slew of characters, suspense, action and secrets. And did I mention zombies? Oh yes, this book has zombies. Though it does suffer a bit from the typical middle book syndrome, it is still I book I truly loved and found myself constantly listening to without fail. There are parts where you laugh, cry, scream in frustration, but above all else you smile at the love that Bones and Cat share as well as the love and loyalty of everyone they hold close. If you haven't read these books before then I would highly recommend them for anyone interested in a PNR/UF with a strong female lead and a smoking hot hero who never fails to make you swoon!

Would you consider the audio edition of One Foot in the Grave to be better than the print version?
Yes!
What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?
Tavia Gilbert has set a high mark for me in terms of audiobook narrators. She captures every character perfectly and though I was hesitant to ever listen to audiobooks, I can’t even pick up one of these books without wishing I was listening to it. She completely immerses you in the story and the characters to the point where I constantly find myself talking in an British accent…not unlike a certain talk, blond, undead vampire…Bloody HeII!
Any additional comments?
*There will be spoilers for the first book in this series, Halfway to the Grave!*
Well, I will admit this was never my favorite book in the series as it was more of a filler book for the first half, it was still satisfying and very addictive!
The story starts off four years after Cat left Bones in Halfway to the Grave. Cat is now a special agent working for the government in order to rid the world of rogue undead vampires who are unnecessarily killing mortals. While, I really did not enjoy the whole militaristic feel that this book takes, I truly enjoyed the introduction of the new characters, Juan, Tate and Dave!
Four years have gone by and Cat is still pretty down in the dumps when it comes to anything related to relationships. She left Bones to protect him (though that was just dimwitted thinking) and though she thought it was the right thing to do, she cannot help but miss him. Unfortunately, though we all know Bones would come back sooner or later, we had to spend the entire first half of the book brooding through Cat’s new relationship with a nice pet vet named Noah. AS sweet and kind as he was…he wasn’t Bones. So as much as he cared, I just didn’t. I wanted Bones and no one would suffice.
Finally, Bones comes back! Yay! Though I will admit I love them as a couple, I really have to question Bones’s motives as to why he is so in love with her sometimes…Anyway, Bones resurfaces, ironically, in a wedding of Cat’s best friend. After being apart for so long, Bones still loves Cat and though Cat refuses to admit it at first, she loves him. However, Cat is still terrified that her boss will have Bones killed and they start to date in secret. Soon after, assassination attempts start on Cat’s life and the only one who can help her is Bones.
This was clearly a filler book that also resolved some of the issues in the first book surrounding the mystery of Cat’s father. Though I was slightly bored and wanted to skip through the first part of the book, it was clearly necessary considering the uncalled for ending of the first book. The second half was way better for a multitude of reasons; action, humor, plot and Bones (of course).
The introduction of new characters of Cat’s team was fun and though I didn’t find them necessary they didn’t particularly hinder the story. Juan was the horny latino, Tate the all commanding hard head military boy who is also in love with Cat, and Dave the more normal of her team. Though they were present in the story, they took a backseat and let the stage shine on Cat and Bones.
Bones, well I still love him. I am not sure what he could do for me to not. He is loyal to a fault, loving, protective, funny, kind, passionate, and a complete badass. Oh and he is British – so he pretty much has the whole package. Though I loved in in Halfway to the Grave, I adored him in this second installment. He was just better. It is hard to put much more of Bones into words other than to say he is one of my top heroes ever in books, if not the one at the very top. Though I will say, I definitely prefer Crispin to Bones!
Cat, on the other hand, eh. I still liked her, don’t get me wrong, but she was very whiny and even more stubborn than in the first book. She left Bones (stupid girl) and then got her panties in a twists when he would speak to a vampire he shagged decades ago to help protect her! I wanted to simply yell at her and be like “Make up your damn mind!” She was halfway committed to Bones and that was just rude. Finally, she comes to her senses but damn if it didn’t take long enough. She was also quite rude, obnoxious and completely reckless and while I know her character fits with the plot and story line of the books, I can’t help but hope her character grows up a bit and becomes more worthy of Bones’ love.
Nevertheless, I once again find myself completely enamored with this series. They are action packed, funny as hell, romantic, mysterious and unapologetically addictive. It is a great combinations of some of my favorite genres and qualities I look for in books!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absoultely! A brilliant story with a kickbutt heroine, sexy hero and nonstop action packed vampires!
What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?
This was my first time listening to an audiobook narrated by tav Gilbert and though I haven't listened to too many audiobooks, I can easily see her always being one of my favorites! The narration was utterly perfect and she executed all the character voices and personalities perfectly! There is not one thing I can say negative about her narration as I truly felt I was in the story and I never wanted it to end!
Any additional comments?
“You're not a woman," he said finally. "You're the Grim Reaper with red hair!”
Yep. I am officially re-obsessed with this series and even more anamored with audiobooks.
I first read this book a few years ago and I remember I fell in love with it. Now, I am happy to say, it is just as good as it was a few years ago, if not better!
Halfway to the Grave is a paranormal urban fantasy romance all combined into one epic book. we are introduced to our heroine half-vampire Catherine Crawfield, commonly known as Cat. Since she was a young girl she knew she was different from all the other children her age. She was stronger, faster and had unnaturally glowing eyes. What she didn't know, until her sixteenth birthday, was that her mother was raped by a vampire and five months later...out pops baby Catherine. Neither fully human nor vampire, but a hybrid of the two. Because of the horrible situation surrounding her conception, Cat's mother naturally hates and fears them. She uses her daughter as a weapon by convincing Cat to kill as many of the undead bloodsuckers as she can, including her father if she can ever hunt the man down.
When Cat goes out one night to hunt out some vampires to kill, she is instead captured by one. Bones, is a vampire bounty hunter and he is both intrigued and confused by the women he has captured and truly wonders how such a small thing could have taken down so many of his kind. Upon learning of her heritage, he proposes a partnership with Cat. He will help her track down her father if she helps him with hunting down a vampire he has been after for over 11 years. As the two work together, Cat begins to feel an attraction to the undead vampire and begins to wonder whether all the undead are actually as bad as they seem...
There are so many words to describe this book and yet I find myself almost incapable of voicing them. This book is fun, snarky, sexy, action packed and swoon worthy. Cat is an awesome, albeit naive, heroine in this book but it makes her all the more relatable. She is snarky, sarcastic red head that constantly gets in way over her head. Yes she is great at her job, but soon she finds out that she may not be as good as she seems. With the help of Bones she becomes even better. She is a flawed character and I think that is what makes her great. She kills remorselessly and barely gives a thought to the vampires lives as she has been told they were bad and bad things must die. Wasn't it funny to watch her whole world flip upside down when she realized the vampire world is not simply black and white.
Bones...oh be still my heart...is just amazing. I absolutely adore him in every way. He is strong, protective, sexy as hell and just downright perfect. I will admit, when I first read this book I was not sure Bones would be our hero as he was rough and hard with Cat at first, though for good reason. As the book continues you can see how as hard as he was on her, it was for her own benefit. Then the accent...oh my goodness I couldn't help but fall head over heels for that! His poor Kitten had no defenses against the talk, dark and dangerous British vampire.
The two of them together were an explosive combination that had you swooning and laughing at the same time. They bickered, fought, bantered, and downright nearly killed each other but you also knew how much they truly cared.
“I'm saying that I'm a moody, insecure, narrow-minded, jealous, borderline homicidal bitch, and I want you to promise me that you're okay with that, because it's who I am, and you're what I need."
For the sake of other potential readers, I will say that the ending is a bit annoying and had this been the only book in the series right now I would have been completely pissed. However, considering I was able to buy the next book immediately after, I did not really care. But be warned that it does end in a rather cliffhanger/bothersome ending so I suggest you consider buying the second book immediately!
This book is a favorite of mine that I will continue to re-listen and reread many times over. Filled with action, romance and sarcastic witty characters? How could I not!
“Kitten, this is my best mate, Charles, but you can call him Spade. Charles, this is Cat, the woman I’ve been telling you about. You can see for yourself that everything I’ve said is…an understatement.”
