One of the very best WWII stories I ever read. The prose is excellent, the performers suburb, reading is probably good, but the performance is so good listen to it if you can.

I don't know how after thirty books in the series Janet Evonaviich continues to keep Stephanie Plum alive and delightful. The title format is new and I am so looking forward to Stephanie's next new story. Lorilie King's performance is superb as always.

Her Deadly Game

I thought I had listened to this book before but my tablet had not indicated it so. I realized I had after The first chapter. However, I enjoyed it again and continued on to read it again (something I very rarely do). There is so much interesting detail I had forgotten I was fully engaged again through to the end.

The Wife Upstairs

The most striking aspect of the story, for me, was the character development. But I could not bond with any of them. Their back story's were interesting but the connections to their "present day" characters were strangely similar and unbelievable
that they should connect at the level the story depends on.

Shadows

This is a very complex police procedural murder mystery. On that score it is very engaging. Be that as it may, it was hard for me to follow. Victims and subjects had very similar sounding names and oddly enough those names were inconsistently pronounced. This may be the way of nortic languages, but reading the novel probably would have been better for me. Otherwise the performance was very good.

Mrs. Pllifax

Years ago I discovered Mrs. Pollifax. I couldn't get enough of her and proceeded to track
down and read with great delight the entire series. I continued to check the shelf in the
library where Dorothy Gilman was kept for a long time after hoping for a new book but
never finding one. When I found this one I was thrilled and very pleased to have enjoyed
it as much as I expected.

Charlaine Harris is one of my favorite authors and the Gunnie Rose series fulfills all my rather high expectations of her writing.
Eva Kaminsky is an outstanding narrator, imbibing each character with a clear individual voice and emotional inflection.
