Historia
At first, Logan Ramsay isn’t sure if anything’s different. He just feels a little . . . sharper. Better able to concentrate. Better at multitasking. Reading a bit faster, memorizing better, needing less sleep. But before long, he can’t deny it: Something’s happening to his brain. To his body. He’s starting to see the world, and those around him—even those he loves most—in whole new ways. The truth is, Logan’s genome has been hacked. And there’s a reason he’s been targeted for this upgrade.

Implausible
Revisado: 03-10-25
Some spoilers - This story was super implausible. Like how does the characters while on the run from the government and each other manage to get their hands on giant Murder Wasp and have the time to genetically modify them as well as obtain Ricin poison and countless pounds of C4 , and literally dodge bullet at point blank. Oh I get that their reflexes and their brains have been upgraded but no matter how good the upgrade is physics still work.

Long boring story with no resolution
Revisado: 03-07-25
Im sorry I wasted a credit on this! This whole story is about her and this box looking for her brother. Spoiler alert she doesn’t find him. I felt like the author was getting paid by the word because wow did she draw this much ado about nothing quest out! It felt like a lot of repetition. I want my time back!

Weird not much explained and doesn’t make sense why the changes affected some people and not others which it logically would have.

The ice is coming. It was the last thing we expected, but the world is freezing. A new ice age has dawned. Billions have fled the glaciers. A cataclysmic war is coming. In orbit, a group of scientists are running the Winter Experiments, a last-ditch attempt to understand why the planet is cooling. None of the climate models they build make sense. But then they discover an anomaly, an unexplained variation in solar radiation...and something else. Close to the burning edge of the sun, they catch a fleeting glimpse of something that shouldn’t be there....

So boring and ugh!
Revisado: 02-10-24
I have no idea how this book has any stars it’s boring and completely improbable. I hate how the author was too lazy to think up whatever the crime was supposed to be that the main character committed…maybe he admits what it is later in the book I don’t know I won’t ever finish this book. The main character is so unbelievable the other main character turns from a strong lead to a whiny person. I can’t with this story

Very predictable but ok
Revisado: 01-27-24
This was so predictable but was still a good story definitely not great but like a tv show that you’d put on in the background. Ending was NOT believable and now that I think of it the whole premise was not believable. But it wasn’t bad enough for me to want my credit back.

Main characters are complete imbeciles
Revisado: 07-14-23
Wow the author made the characters so dumb here that I can’t even get close to finishing the story. Here are some reasons why…A solar flare is going to blow out all the power for 4 day in North America the main characters decide to wait it out in a big hotel downtown D.C. spoiler alert when the power surges happen fires start and the water and electricity fail…who could have seen that coming? Then the two adults after one of them have been mugged by hotel staff decide to leave to go scavenge they leave the two minors alone in the hotel without bothering to warm them about the hotel staff…spoiler alert surprise surprise the kids get mugged too! And they let their muggers in the room because they are hotel staff. Then when they conveniently fine an entire outdoor store that no one has scavenged they only bother to grab limited supplies and only one gun. Which one of the main characters says she doesn’t know if she can use even if they are threatening the life of her kid?!? Then when they get held up and mugged again by guys that want to use the 12 and 14 year old girls as new breeding stock the adults don’t shoot them but use their kickboxing moves to subdue them and then of course the bad guys get loose and attack one of the main characters and go to get reinforcements this is where I stopped because wth is wrong with these characters they are so stupid.

Get ready to listen to the tagline “in this fallen world” ad nauseum
Revisado: 07-08-23
This is pretty awful. The author repeats the tagline “in this fallen world” at the end of MANY sentences! I feel like a high school wrote this and I really want to get out my red pen and do some corrections! This is boring, long, and unrealistic (and I love sci-if and fantasy!) it isnt well thought out. The main character dodges bullets and is Super amazing at beating everyone he meets…it feels like a teenager with serious self esteem problems wrote their hero out. I can’t with this book and couldn’t finish it. The writing is not good!

If you want to listen to someone basically being tortured and having their mind messed with for HOURS then this is the book for you but I callus t stand it and was wishing the author would just kill off the main character so we didn’t have to listen to him whine and protest non stop.
