A quick twisty turny read
Revisado: 02-07-25
This was my first time reading something by the author and I thoroughly enjoyed. The narration was great and the storyline and characters held my attention. I highly recommend for any road trip!

Perfect Summer Beach Read with LOTS of twists & turns
Revisado: 05-27-24
Wow… this book took me on quite the ride.😳 I think I actually have whiplash from all of the twists and turns. IMHO the PERFECT summer vaca read. It will keep you guessing and reading/ listening & devour any plans you have being social😂 In in the beginning, you think it’s a story about a nurse who’s got a little drama in her life and then -to add to the stress - she has to care for this woman who’s just apparently jumped off a bridge…you learn about her family (👀creepy AF) and your spidey senses start pricklin and it’s ON. GOOD LUCK getting anything done. 💯 ADD to your Summer TBR (my only critique is that the story goes between past & present and lot so it can get a little confusing… but it all makes sense in the end!)

More family drama than mystery/psychological thriller
Revisado: 09-08-23
I really tried… listened allll the way to the end in hopes of getting ANSWERS. In the end - this o e was a miss. While I could DEFINITELY relate to a lot of the parental/child raising issues..I just felt like I needed to know a bit more about who the hell was the witch and why was she “possessing “ the girl. Or did the girl’s Dad read her a story about her?? How could she be FLUENT in French??👀 The kid FREAKED me out, yo. I’d wanna get to the bottom of whatever’s goin on & QUICK LIKE. Hello… DAD….wake TF UUUP. So yeah… not Feelin especially good about this one. 😣

Jackie and Pete King have lived in Dunmore for years, running one of the two local pubs in the sleepy little town. Money has been tight after the bushfires, and it’s about to get tighter if they can’t find a way to pay their suppliers to keep their business going and keep the bank from foreclosing on their property. So when Jackie receives a mysterious phone call offering them $100,000 to let someone bury a body on their land, the answer isn’t as simple as they thought it would be.

Finlay Donovan has been in messes before—after all, she's an author and single mom who's a pro at getting out bloodstains for rather unexpected reasons—but none quite like this. After she and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero accidentally destroyed a luxury car that they may have "borrowed" in the process of saving the life of Finlay's ex-husband, the Russian mob got her out of debt. But now Finlay owes them.

Revisado: 01-26-23
I don’t normally do reviews, but this was so bad I HAD to say something. Seriously, DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. The whole puppet thing is so SILLY. I’m annoyed I put ANYtime into this book. And like the other reviewers mentioned- the pronunciation of Louise was SO INCONSISTENT & CONFUSING,
