Historia
In June, 1954, eighteen-year-old Emmett Watson is driven home to Nebraska by the warden of the juvenile work farm where he has just served fifteen months for involuntary manslaughter. His mother long gone, his father recently deceased, and the family farm foreclosed upon by the bank, Emmett's intention is to pick up his eight-year-old brother, Billy, and head to California where they can start their lives anew. But when the warden drives away, Emmett discovers that two friends from the work farm have hidden themselves in the trunk of the warden's car.

I am sorry I bought this book.

It's not what I expected. I didn't like the characters and the swearing. I never finished the book. For me, it was a waste of money and time. I did like the narrator.

I liked the book. exciting, but it was abit crass, crude, and occasionally revolting therefore I could not give it 5 stars.

great story
Revisado: 09-23-22
This is a very original storyline, I know nothing like it that I have read. Very exciting and hard to put down. It is also nice not to have a story full of swear words, none as I recall. No racy scenes either. Full 5 stars. The narration was also intriguing.

Revisado: 11-13-21
a lot of swearing, and adult situations the story did not need and made me uncomfortable.
