Historia
Do you think mainstream America needs to find its voice? If so, you’re not alone. The country is under attack by extremists at the fringes who put ideology before sanity and stoke division for their own gain. They are trying to rob America of its common sense and deny empirical truths, and we’re all suffering the consequences.

Historia
England, 1943: Home is no longer safe for eight-year-old twins Molly and Jacob. Night after night, wailing bombs and screeching planes skim the rooftops overhead. They cradle each other, shivering in terror, not knowing if they'll live to see dawn. Their mother, Martha, has no choice but to evacuate them to the safety of the countryside. At the train station, Martha bites back tears as she says good-bye to her precious children. Knowing she might never see them again, she gives Jacob a letter, pressing the envelope into his hands and telling him to only read it if they are in danger.

Wonderful Heart Wrenching Story
Revisado: 09-06-22
This was a great book. Extremely well written and kept me interested the whole way through.
My heart went out to these poor children. Because I was born just after the war I must say that the details of life at that time in England were historically accurate. Amazing story and I will look for more books by this author.

Historia
1939. After the sudden and tragic loss of her husband, Helen is returning home to her mother’s house in Biggin Hill, Kent - the one place she vowed she’d never go back to again. Alone and not knowing where to turn, Helen finds herself joining the local women’s sewing circle despite being hopeless with a needle and thread. These resourceful women can not only make do and mend clothes, quilts and woolly hats, but their friendship mends something deeper in Helen, too.

Great story
Revisado: 07-29-22
As a quilter I wanted to read this book. The author drew me into a deeper story of suspense and a romance as well as describing the bond that is felt between quilters.
I will search other books from this author as I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
