Great Entertainment!
Revisado: 01-02-21
I’ve always kind of been a sucker for Hank The Cow Dog. Add in a dose of Matthew, and I just really enjoy these podcasts!
Matthew, thank you for putting together a great form of entertainment! And, to put them out there for free, that just is pure awesomeness!
Thank you again.

Historia
It was a typical evening at a mall outside Portland, Maine. Three teenage friends waited for the movie to start. A boy flirted with the girl selling sunglasses. Mothers and children shopped together, and the manager at the video game store tended to customers. Then the shooters arrived. The chaos and carnage lasted only eight minutes before the killers were taken down. But for those who lived through it, the effects would last forever.

Great Story, Great Performance, Too Much Profanity
Revisado: 03-23-20
I really enjoy the Performance and Story!
I’m no prude, but on a roadtrip with my 12-year old daughter, I found myself embarrassed.
To be fair, much of the book is written without swearing. But, when it’s time to unleash the beast, it goes great guns ablazing as the F-bimbs fly!
This is a great book for adults.

Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling story about American Olympic triumph in Nazi Germany, the inspiration for the PBS documentary The Boys of '36, broadcast to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the boys' gold medal race. Out of the depths of the Depression comes an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of times - the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.

Boring
Revisado: 02-12-19
Perhaps if I could go further into it, but after a few chapters, I just couldn’t keep myself focused enough to keep up with what was happening. Every day I tried, I found the book being background noise to whatever my mind wandered to.

Historia
Two retired Texas Rangers, Captains Woodrow Call and Augustus "Gus" McCrae, lead a cattle drive from the small town of Lonesome Dove to the unsettled Montana territories. On their grueling journey, they are joined by Joshua Deets, a Black scout and former Ranger, Jake Spoon, a fugitive, and Newt Dobbs, a 17-year-old boy who may have family ties to Call. Richly authentic, beautifully written, always dramatic, Lonesome Dove will make listeners laugh and weep, dream and remember.

Lonesome Dove is Great!
Revisado: 04-27-18
What did you love best about Lonesome Dove?
Insight into the thoughts and feelings of the characters just is not the same when watching a movie.
I loved the movie, but the book is far ahead!
What did you like best about this story?
I love westerns anyway, so I begin biased.
However, the way this story is told, the way it unfolds, the way Lee Horsley portrays the characters is superb.
Have you listened to any of Lee Horsley’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first time I have heard Lee Horsley's portrayal of a book.
I look forward to hearing more.
Any additional comments?
Throughout the book, I appreciated the characters still referring to the Captain.
It's a sign of respect for the man to have still been recognized with his rank once his official tour of duty was over.
