The author is quite an expert on the digestive system, the alimentary system and microbiome, small and large intestine. She knows more than your average gastroenterologist. Her recipes are creative and fun. I wish I could congratulate her in person. Quite an achievement.

Ms. Miller artfully tells her story as a skilled poet and detailed historian. Her imagery springs off the page. This book is not just a story of a victim; it is artful literature.
We can only hope that she’ll write another book! Looking forward to experiencing more of her Chinese American view of the world. Her world is full of sensation and artistic expression. A moving portrait of a unique experience, full of promise and hope.
