Unexpectedly good….

Full disclosure, I wanted this book because of the narrator (who is phenomenal, by the way), however I ended up liking this book more than I thought. It’s a unique storyline with a snarky, funny antihero. It is not my typical genre, so there were some cringe moments for me. I am more of a traditional gore horror girl, but I would listen to more from this author.

I am part of an online Horror enthusiast group. This book was recommended in one of our forums, so I thought I would give it a listen. While it is definitely not what I consider horror, it was well worth the price of admission.
It is a glimpse into the human condition like I have never seen. The writing is spot on. The narration is spot on. This will be a book I will listen to over and over!!

Admittedly, this is not the typical story I read/listen to as my first choice. I decided to give it a listen because I love the voice actor that narrated this story. I was pleasantly surprised. The writing is on point. The story is engaging and funny. I am laughing out loud at work with people looking a me weird. All
Worth it! And, of course, Drew Blood read the story superbly. He always makes the characters come to life. A well paired partnership that needs to continue! BRAVO!
