Historia
John Puller's older brother, Robert, was convicted of treason and national security crimes. His inexplicable escape from prison makes him the most wanted criminal in the country. Some in the government believe that John Puller represents their best chance at capturing Robert alive, and so Puller takes on the burden of bringing his brother in to face justice. But Puller quickly discovers that there are others pursuing his brother, who only see Robert as a traitor and are unconcerned if he survives.

Typical ---another 5 star--- baldacci
Revisado: 05-14-15
Another baldacci at his usual best. What can I say about another nail biter that keeps it attn all the way thru. Masterful pacing planning and even a hint of tender romance. Next.....

Historia
It's almost Christmas, but there is no joy in the house of terminally ill Jack and his family. With only a short time left to live, he spends his last days preparing to say goodbye to his devoted wife, Lizzie, and their three children. Then, unthinkably, tragedy strikes again: Lizzie is killed in a car accident. With no one able to care for them, the children are separated from each other and sent to live with family members around the country. Just when all seems lost, Jack begins to recover in a miraculous turn of events.

Wow what a classic Baldacci!
Revisado: 12-24-11
Where does One Summer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of my favorites. One summer is so outside of Baldacci's usual DC political/and or special agent themes that it seemed a tiny risk to read it. Hardly--it's as charmingly different as Grisham's
Any additional comments?
Great simple read, easy and flowing, but be prepared to let your tears flow.

Historia
“Dear Ones.” So begins each of an extraordinary collection of letters written to friends and family by Catherine Royce as she contemplated how she would live out her life as it was slowly taken from her by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Writing with great humor, candor, and insight, Catherine stares, unblinking, into the glare of her own mortality.

Great book: a how to live while dying book!
Revisado: 12-24-11
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. I really enjoyed this book. I think in part, because of her humor in facing distress as well as her total willingness to face and accept her fate.
What other book might you compare Wherever I Am, I’m Fine to and why?
I'm looking for that myself.
Which character – as performed by Becket Royce McGough and Amanda Royce-Hale – was your favorite?
Obviously Catherine. She was approachable, funny, although a bit too staunch at times. She seemed aloof to herself regarding her diagnosis, yet seemed unmiffed by others approaching it with her.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Wherever I Am, I’m Fine?
Finding courage to laugh at almost every event in dying while living.
