Shocked
Revisado: 02-23-25
Joe Arden absolutely ATE. Also, don’t sleep on the trigger warnings, it is incredibly twisted and dark and reading it may have ruined all other cutesy romance books for me… still I was shocked it was as good as it was and that I enjoyed it.

Why is no one talking about this…
Revisado: 06-26-24
I gave this book a SOLID try, given that the writing is actually really good, but then you get more of the backstory between the MMC and FMC… and then you wonder why is no one talking about how underage she was and how the “four horseman” are literally graduated and in college? Partying with a bunch of high school students and groping up on them. How is this dark romance? If this were dark romance the MMC would have stepped in to prevent the FMC from feeling scared or hurt, by his “friends” but you hear this line: “Michael made it very clear that while he may have my hand right now, he didn’t have my back, so why didn’t any of that make me want to stop” and you realize that the MMC is making her “prove” her worth… which is a red red flag in even a dark romance book.
I’m sorry but that’s probably why the four horseman were imprisoned because *spoiler* after reading that they ogled and felt her up between the ages of 15-16 while all four of them are 19-20, doesn’t make the rest of the story any better when she is actually finally of age. This isn’t dark romance, it’s honestly just gross… if they cut out everything and made her 19 or better yet 21, it just would have more legs to stand on but this fantasy of an underage girl catching the attention of older “college students” is just not sexy. Especially when there’s probably a good reason the four older men went to prison, and now they want to ruin her life?! Yeah. I can’t. Have fun reading y’all.

Historia
I spent 18 years as a victim. Eighteen years where I was broken, shattered, pried apart, and carelessly thrown back together. Now, the glue that keeps my fractured soul from rupturing needs to hold firm, or the four fierce lycans who swore to protect me will die to keep me safe.... The Assembly is no place for a human. Especially not one standing trial. Surrounded by lycans who'd like nothing more than to see me dead, forced to participate in lethal games, and hunted by enemies shrouded in shadows, my world is unravelling.

Good but A LOT of filler
Revisado: 03-23-24
There were so many times when I was screaming “just SAY IT” or “please just tell them!” - so many repetitive sentences and moments repeated over and over. I understand suspense, but a lot of the filler was so unnecessary.
I hung on because the story itself is so captivating and the banter between the pack members is so wholesome and funny at times! It’s hard to capture that in books like these, also the tragic back story was insanely detailed and it was hard not to keep listening, but the repetitive sentences and moments that never needed to be dragged out started grating in me towards the very end.
I would say if you get to those parts just skip forward a little and you’ll get through it just fine. Excited for book 3! And the narrators did amazing

I’m OBSESSED
Revisado: 01-18-24
This is literally how every romance fantasy series should be written. I personally pride myself on being able to see most twists coming but this book had me listening until 4 am?! I had to physically put my phone in another room to get sleep. It doesn’t help that the narrator was so good! Her pronunciations on words was so crisp and clear, her inflections were infectious.
Finished this book in a few days time and now I’m desperate to get book 2. Let me just summarize what this book has: enemies to lovers, queens and kings, heretics, disgusting men with one thing in mind, the most delicious kind of shadow daddy, twists you never see coming, addiction, other written perspectives, and SEVERAL unraveling mysteries.

don’t pick it up
Revisado: 12-03-23
There are so many better retellings than this book, there’s just so much cringe and unnecessary aggressive CRINGY language, what are we 17 year olds? I love a good smut book and even have a high spicy meter but there’s just no plot in this whatsoever? It takes place over 2-in-book days and by the end of the book you have nothing to take away from. Quite literally.
So upset I read the whole book, because I truly thought with four books in a series that it would get better. Nope. Book two is just longer with the same 4 descriptor words and phrases said over and over. If you want an epic retelling go read Tessania’s Entangled with Fae retellings because they’re 10/10 better than whatever the heck this garbage is.
The only saving grace with the narrator as she did amazing but unfortunate she had to read this out to the world.

I’m obsessed, finished it same day!!!
Revisado: 11-28-23
After finishing the first one in this series then the third one, skipping over the Cinderella retelling, I moved on to this one as it was hinted at the end of The Little Mermaids retelling. Based off the small hint I KNEW I was going to like this one and I’m just so happy it did not disappoint. I love the alternating perspectives between our female lead and male lead and the overall twist to the classic Snow White tale. Though all-in-all, ALL of the retellings have such a unique twist to the original plots that I can’t help but feel like are honestly better than the originals. To me they just make more sense and have more depth behind the characters.
With that being said this book is probably, so far, the best one out of the whole “Entangled with Fae” series and is an absolute must read. If you love wholesome storytelling then this book is for you, it’s a change up from all the smut books out there as it doesn’t immediately hit you with lust and passion, instead it burns throughout the whole story and gives you exactly what you want in the end. I don’t usually write long reviews so I hope this helps!
The narrators were AWESOME as well, just great reading and voice fluctuations.

A great start to this whole series!
Revisado: 11-24-23
Without this book I would have never gotten into this authors other books and series, and for that I love this book! it’s also such a unique spin off the original beauty and the beast. Other retellings I’ve read all have awful crude language and unoriginal tropes but Tessonia is able to weave such a unique new story everytime, also the narrator was pleasant to listen too and this series keeps the same narrator for the next 4 books.

I make a living out of screwing over the jerks who capture and torment supernatural beasties. But when I free a bunch of particularly powerful monsters from their cages, I'm not counting on them following me home like lost puppies - stunningly hot lost puppies, but still. These manly monsters are determined to repay me for my help, and they won't get out of my apartment, until they're satisfied we're even. There's something to be said for allies so devoted they'll tear off heads and shred souls on your behalf. I'm all for joining forces.

Super enjoyable honestly and the narrators were so good, book three was a bit slower but then the very end of it roped me back in but there was also tons of continuity, the series had an actual plot, and the lovers were all unique and well written. definitely a good read!
