Historia
Dueling Banjos: The Deliverance of Drew is a collection of stories of the making of the iconic movie, Deliverance, told from the perspective of one of the four main actors in the film, Ronny Cox, who played the character of Drew. Based on the novel by James Dickey, the movie was filmed in the summer of 1971 and was released the following year in 1972. Forty years later, it remains one of the most recognized films in movie history for being raw, emotional, violent and shocking - yet it leaves a lasting impression of artistic excellence.

The Book Would Be Better
Revisado: 03-30-25
I loved the movie Deliverance and Ronnie Cox was excellent in it. His stories are all very interesting and held my attention. My problem is with his delivery creating this read. He would sort of giggle at how funny his stories were before, during, and after telling them. This wore me down over time to where I wasn’t sure I could finish this. But I did, and was still overall happy I stayed.

Historia
Three red-headed women - One, Two, and Three - do not know one another though they live only a few miles apart. Each is being hunted by a psychopath intent on committing three perfect murders, works of such artistic brilliance that they will be written about and studied in universities for decades to come. The women know they have been marked for death - they just don't know when it is to happen, or how, or by whom. Or why.

Disappointed
Revisado: 05-21-23
I had read The Traveler by the same author which I really liked. Red 1-2-3 was a slow build with a slow middle and disappointing ending. It did not help that I did not like the sound of the lady reading it. Most of the time I have been happy with the performances.

Historia
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

Highly Acclaimed Bore
Revisado: 03-04-23
I can’t believe I finally made it through this. I’m not sure if I’d of liked it more by reading the book, probably as the over acting of the reader was a bit laughable here. Anyway I’m assuming that when this first came out it was new and interesting. Now, it’s a boring mess.
