When she acts it all seems the same. But I’m still a big fan. I liked the story with Rosie.

Why was Maddie’s purse in the jeep? How did they get from the mountain to Sarah’s house? Why would Sarah’s mother drive to the mountain when she didn’t know about it? Not a good mystery!

Ma Davis is an inspiration with hope of the mustard seed! Her retelling of the story of her life, mimicked my own of pain, abuse, neglect, questionable love and witnessing the physical abuse of my own mother and members of my family, with alcoholism the culprit!
I could not put this book down There were times while listening that it resonated so much, I stopped breathing with fear. Her talents in voice control and delivery invited me to relive it with her.
We have so much in common. However, I’m a white raised poor and poorly raised Jewish girl from Dorcester, Massachusetts.
I did not have to del with racism just the classism of being very poor in a community of working class and middle class Jews.
Her story drives home that abject poverty has everlasting affects of the very essence of who we are! The systematic racism depicted is why it screams to be eliminated.
In my heart of knowing that. If we work hard to eliminate racism we will eliminate all the other ‘isms’ that keep us separated an divisive
Thank you Viola Davis! This is the story that had to be told for all of us who made it out!

Hillary Clinton is a legend in her own time. She is unstoppable! I wish she could run for president again. We need her, but she does not need the presidency to be one of the most influential women in the 21st century. A woman for all time! I completely understand her and it is why I love her so much. I love EVERYTHING HILLARY. She stood by her friend and husband, Bill, despite his addictions that could have totally destroyed his marriage and clearly affected his political life. She stood by her principles when one of her staff was accused of harassing another member of her staff during the campaign. I understood that she separated them and sent him for counseling. People wanted her to fire him....but she stood by the wish to get him help. Her heart is good and solid and loyal. I appreciate that about her. Her intelligence is not to be reckoned with...she is always alert and sincere. I love her laugh, it is genuine and her concern for people is genuine. She will always be recognized as the woman who said `Human rights are womens rights and womens rights are human rights'. She is to feminism and women power, what Helen Reddy's music was to the women's movement. `I Am Women'. ! There is no one like her. She is truly an unstoppable force is our quest for woman power! Thank you Hillary you are the best!

I’ve always been a big fan! I swear she can play any part and I have seen her in movies! While a lot of tsurus has enveloped her life, the outcome was the real climax. Her shades of wisdom adds incentive to the real challenge of ‘feminism’! Thank you for the reminder, I’m so glad you were born!

I was thrilled to read this. Ms Tyson is a composition of all the fine, intelligent, strong, compassionate and enduring women of color that I have had the privilege to know. She is resolute in standards rare in today’s distrusting climate. Thank you Ms Tyson for reminding me that unyielding faith is the only source of the journey. Her words were expressed with a cadence that is hypnotic as in prose and poetry.
RIP.

An excellent source of understanding of

not only racism in the current environment but the despicable history that was our country’s original sin. Her honesty and raw truth invites an understanding of ‘white racism’ that demands a self searching challenge. By far this book should be required reading in every civics class and religious institution. Thank you Mary for you intelligent inspiration for a personal evaluation of too long held reservations.

Her relationships with the dogs reminded me of how very special my own little Chihuahua was, named Dolly. She passed in February and was my medical service dog for both my PTSD and diabetes. She saved my life a few times and went with me when I was hospitalized several times. Everyone fell instantly I live with her. The author permitted me to let go of the guilt at having to end her life. I sob as I feel, as I did throughout the book, the echoes of the loss. She helped me feel the credence of my mourning for this bundle of joy. She helped me to understand that I am not betraying Dolly by getting another dog, but honoring her memory. Thank you.

Dolly my deceased 10 year 7 month old Chihuahua who I had to let go on Feb 25th 2020 sent signs that she is still here. She left four kibbles on the floor where here feeding bowls were. After she died, in my arms at the hospital, I was pretty broken up. She screamed in pain and a second later she was gone. I expected her to go peacefully and was upset that this would be my last memory of holding her. After I saw the kibbles I told her, if this you and you are here, put down a fifth kibble and I will believe. Sure enough, within minutes I came back into the kitchen and in front of the refrigerator was a fifth kibble. We have been talking ever since.
This book helped me to cope with how she died in such pain. I felt I had betrayed her and had guilt. Dolly assured me that it was not my fault but it did not stop the pain. My brother and his friend were there for support. I handed her lifeless body to him and she peed on him. He took care of her and I drove to my home. He put her in her soft cage that was her house of comfort. He drove her to my house ad the next day buried her in the big back yard that she loved so much. He put a picture of her with her date of birth and date of death and her paw print, with a dedication of ‘Lived by all...dedicated to one’ she was my service dog.
My last words to her were ‘find a way to come back to me’. Her spirit is with me but I still miss the physical of her.
We speak telepathically and she keeps reminding me that I will get through the mourning. She also said that she wants me to get another dog. Emotionally I’m not ready.
This book is helping me heal and accept Dolly’s comfort. Will she go away when I get another dog or will her spirit join the new dog? Only time will tell.
Thank you

Demi captured my life and she knew she would once the book was finished. Her honesty, thought provoking revelations just further endeared me to her. Much of the lives of so many of us who grew up poor but resolute, screams of the ultimate realization that personal survival may have been the most important lesson that our inept parents may have given us. I’m reminded that the word parent is a derivative of the Latin infinitive you prepare’. Parental love should encompass both preparation for life and self love...they cannot give what they never had without awareness.
I could not put this book down. I fell in love with Demi as an actress in Ghost. I cried and laughed.
As a female veteran I cheered triumphantly when she prevailed as a seal in GI Jane. Who can ever forget her famous line ‘suck my dick!’
She has portrayed many role models and her sophistication as an actress actually was the one true gift her own parents prepared her for. But the most astonishing achievement is the ultimate unmasking of what held her back from truly knowing who she was and just how truly lovable she in fact is.
Thank you Demi Moore...your revelations we’re both courageous and generous and made a difference to me in sisterhood.
