For victims of childhood trauma, this is something that would be very beneficial to listen to. It gives good descriptions of the trauma the author went through. I myself have struggled with trauma. I always thought that I had healed. Listening to this book helped me to realize that I have a great more healing to do. It explains things in a way that is easy to understand. It gives you step by step things that you can do to help heal. The narration was in a nice voice. it is a voice that is enjoyable to listen to. This is a book that I would recommend for anyone trying to heal any kind of trauma. I feel the book was beneficial to me. It gave me a feeling of peace. Some of my struggles in life I did not understand. Now I know where they come from and why. There are 2 parts to the book. The first part walks you through what the author experienced with her own trauma. It also gives you steps you can take to heal your own trauma. The second part is a workbook that aids you in working through the trauma. I can not say enough good about this book. It would be a valuable tool for therapists, counslers, teachers, or anyone that may work with children that have experienced trauma. If you are looking for help healing your trauma, this is THE book for you.
