Historia
Ezra and Nehemiah tell the story of those who return to Judah to rebuild the temple and Jerusalem. In fact, little more than 40,000 people return, only about 10% of the Jewish population in the Persian Empire. Esther tells the story of the 90% who remain behind. This is a fabulous story - and Dr. Creasy tells us the “X-rated” version!

Best Bible Study
Revisado: 10-20-16
I often look to Dr Creasy's Bible studies to dig into geopolitical, linguistic, historical and cultural meanings that are lacking in other studies. This helps me ground my exegesis in its broad context. One example of Dr Creasy's exegesis is the pivotal verse 5:4 in which he explains the first letter of the Hebrew words spell "YHWH", a subtle acknowledgement of God's presence in the shadows of the story. But a less well-explained is his interpretation of 1:11 of "wearing *only* the royal crown". I have heard this interpretation before, but don't see that the text supports it. If it's more obvious in the Hebrew, it needs to be highlighted. Overall however, I appreciate the details and explanations offered by Dr Creasy.

Pretty Good
Revisado: 08-31-16
Pretty good, but too short. I expected more specific links between the gospels and upanishads. Not enough, but then, for a brief overview maybe I needed to lower my expectations.

Audio overview from the developer of Mind-Mapping
Revisado: 04-24-15
The main reason I selected this book was to see what else I could learn about mind-mapping techniques. I was disappointed that there was nothing added to what I already learned over the years. It has been almost 30 years since this book was written, long enough for this cutting edge material for 1988 to have merged with present-day pedagogy and popular culture. I highly recommend it if you are new to whole mind thinking (the rationale for using mind maps) or to mind-mapping basics. Even though there is no visual material with the CD, the description is sufficient to help the listener visualize the mind map that Tony Buzon walks you through. Additionally, there are several short experiential tasks that create learning for the listening audience.

Absorbing Bio of Apple's Self-Absorbed 'Il Divo'
Revisado: 03-03-12
Intense personality who "got" the importance of intentional congruence in the branding of "Apple", but didn't "get" or take responsibility for the way he treated people. Read this to understand his intense devotion to the fine details and the whole presentation of the Apple image and products. If you remember the movie "The Illusionist" and all the devotion to details and presentation in setting up the presentation, there's a parallel to Steve Jobs' skill and genius as a showman.
Some reviewers comment negatively on the narrator. IMHO he is not a bad reader, just slow. Increasing the speed to 1.5 on the Audible app made the narration more comfortable to my ears.

Historia
In search of adventure, 29-year-old Conor Grennan traded his day job for a year-long trip around the globe, a journey that began with a three-month stint volunteering at the Little Princes Children's Home, an orphanage in war-torn Nepal. Conor was initially reluctant to volunteer, unsure whether he had the proper skill, or enough passion, to get involved in a developing country in the middle of a civil war. But he was soon overcome by the herd of rambunctious, resilient children.

Enthralling story
Revisado: 09-17-11
I don't want to waste my time or credits on books I might not enjoy. So I was so glad to find this gem! The author is the reader and I felt drawn in, as if I was there. I read it through in a couple of days during breaks at work and (I admit) while working at my computer. Enjoyed his reading of the different characters with their accents. Also taught me about another culture through the story. I highly recommend this one!

Historia
Although theologians are apt to explain away these teachings in various ways, the Vedantists believe Christ meant what he said. Listen to this remarkable recording and discover how Vedanta goes to the very heart of Christ's teaching.Vedanta came to the West in the late 19th century, not to supplant any religion, but to bring a more tangible spirituality to those who seek it. Its goal has never been to proselytize, but to help man realize the divinity within him.

Expand & Deepen Your Understanding
Revisado: 07-13-11
If you grew up listening to the Sermon on the Mount, this commentary from the Vedanta perspective will enrich your experience of its teachings. The only thing that bothered me was the formal speaking style of the narrator. I imagine his style has won him awards and that other speakers emulate him. But I would prefer a speaker I can relate to. The British theatre trained speaker puts distance between me and the text. I want to be drawn in and the formal elocution does not do it for me.
