Saved by grace, and called to be a holy people, set apart. This book provides such great insight into what it means to live a Christian life, and how what we see as good may not always be God's will. Eve was not attracted to the tree of knowledge of good and evil because it was blatantly occult or obviously bad... She saw that it was good, pleasant and desirable. And she was deceived. She disobeyed God, by doing what she thought to be good.
I liked this book because it tells how one is able to live a holy life. For me, personally, I was intimidated by the thought of having to try and live a holy life because I was depending on my own efforts and my own flesh to perform. But I see now that so long as I depend on myself I will surely fail. And the only solution is to depend on Jesus, behold him, and be transformed by His Spirit into His likeness--holy, empowered by His amazing grace.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it's eye opening and very interesting. I would recommend this to anyone who has tried to use writing affirmations down as a self development tool, but found it to be ineffective in creating the positive change in their lives that they expected.

Any additional comments?

It all starts with asking the right question—the MAGIC question!

You know how they say, if you're looking for something, you'll find it?
Usually referring to a situation where one is skeptical/reluctant about something & will purposefully search for something negative to point out, in order to justify their reluctance. That person will almost always find SOME sort of flaw, if they are indeed looking for one—sometimes even exaggerating the truth to prove their case.

The same concept is discussed in this book, but applied to help oneself search for the good in life, an idea for business, the best way to handle a situation, how to make your beloved smile more... The possibilities are endless!

The trick is to ask a question in the first place in order to stumble upon such new inspirations, fascinating activities, or simply reasons to love life more and smile often!

If you're not looking for such things—though they exist in the world just awaiting your notice—you will never know, say, the freedom of being out of debt simply because you never asked yourself how in the world that might be possible for you to achieve.

On the other hand, just as someone might look for a flaw in something, and their brain works overtime to create some reason not to like it, even if it's a stretch.. Your brain can be harnessed in a positive & productive manner to work overtime, using stretches of your imagination, in order to come up with new ideas—perhaps, THE IDEA—as an answer to a question you asked yourself, that ends up changing your life!

Yes, you may find that you come up with some crazy solutions to the puzzles you proposition yourself... But they may be crazy enough that they just might work!

I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone—especially those who may have tried methods such as writing affirmations and encouraging words as a self help tool, and found that they soon became blurred into the unnoticed everyday background of life. This book explains why that happens, and suggests a more effective alternative to written affirmations, but achieves the same intended goal, with even better results!
