Perfect combo of financial information and passion for creating a great life!
Revisado: 07-28-24
Mel is an amazing person. His love of life, and passion for sharing his wealth of financial knowledge made this book stand out as my favorite (and I have read lots of financial books). His passion comes through in his narration. I’m so glad he didn’t hire a voiceover artist to read it!! Lastly, he truly lays out an incredibly detailed plan and strategy that’s easy to follow for anyone no matter where they are in life!

Historia
Our ability to prevent and reverse these conditions—and feel incredible today—is under our control and simpler than we think. The key is our metabolic function—the most important and least understood factor in our overall health. As Dr. Casey Means explains in this book, nearly every health problem we face can be explained by how well the cells in our body create and use energy. To live free from frustrating symptoms and life-threatening disease, we need our cells to be optimally powered so that they can create “good energy,” the essential fuel that impacts every aspect of our wellbeing.

The only book I need to optimize my health!
Revisado: 06-15-24
Casey’s knowledge, backed by stellar credentials and passion made this book the very best I have read to guide me on my health optimization journey. One of the many standouts, which I’ve never read and greatly appreciated, was her very specific reporting of the inner workings of the American “healthcare” and food industries. I highly recommend this book to anyone who does not want to go down the same path that these industries are leading people down!

Historia
On paper, Sarah Levy’s life was on track. She was 28, living in New York City, working a great job, and socializing every weekend. But Sarah had a secret: her relationship with alcohol was becoming toxic. And only she could save herself. Drinking Games explores the role alcohol has in our formative years, and what it means to opt out of a culture completely enmeshed in drinking. It’s an examination of what our short-term choices about alcohol do to our long-term selves and how they challenge our ability to be vulnerable enough to discover what we really want in life.

Historia
Ask and It Is Given is certainly a book about our ''asking'' being answered by all-that-is. But it's primarily about how whatever we're asking for is being given to us - and it's also the first book to ever, in such clear terminology, give us the simple practical formula for how to ask for, and then how to receive, whatever we want to be, do, or have. Decades ago, while searching for plausible answers to my never-ending quest to know what ''it'' is all about, I discovered the word ineffable (meaning ''incapable of being expressed in words'').

Excellent in all respects, but…
Revisado: 02-12-22
This recording is missing 6 chapters that are in the book! The content and Jerry’s narration were both great. Why would Audible not have the complete book? I didn’t notice different editions.

Fascinating Insight into the Science of Habits
Revisado: 04-22-16
This book delivered on its promise of thoroughly teaching the subject matter, and presenting it with numerous fascinating examples. The appendix was particularly beneficial in providing the reader with a doable plan for changing/creating their own new habits.
My only negative comment is that there were a few sections (like Social Habits) where I feel the author went on and on with his stories &/or examples unnecessarily. I found my mind drifting at those times.
Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it to anyone who's serious about changing undesirable habits.
