Good but not great

Interesting story but really nothing new. The same messages you can find in everything from castenada, ruiz, tolle, etc to even fight club. The audio editing leaves something to be desired with retakes and duplicate reading. I got all the way through it and surprised i did.

One of the best. I was actually surprised and enjoyed the entire book

Good motivation but redundant

Is there anything you would change about this book?
Stop talking so much about yourself. The inspiration is good but after a while the stories about how great and huge his church is, get old. Also starts to sound very materialistic.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
None. The message was repetitive. This could have been a half hour to hour sermon and be long enough.
What does Joel Osteen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He is a good motivational speaker with a texas accent.
Did Break Out! inspire you to do anything?
To pray for more than you need.
Any additional comments?
As a christian the self gratification of the materialist message was a bit disturbing. i do like his inspirational messages on facebook etc but is this book was too much.

Would you listen to Chasing Ghosts, Texas Style again? Why?
Great stories and all but considering these are from texas ( as am i) a texan reader would have been better. And i dont mean stereo type twangy texan. Overall great audio book
