Historia
Trauma nurse Aly Cappellucci doesn’t need any more kinks. She likes the one she’s landed on just fine. To her, nothing could top the masked men she follows online. Unless one of those men was shirtless, heavily tattooed, and waiting for her in her bedroom. She dreams about being hunted by one in particular, of him chasing her down and doing deliciously dark things to her willing body. She never could have guessed that by sending one drunken text, those dreams would become her new reality.

Historia
Avarath was lucky that the final king of faerie turned a blind eye to the first war, but Avarath's luck has run out. One by one, the princes of Avarath fall to the glamour, to duty, to fate-until even a king crumbles, too. By the time that war is truly upon them, Delphine has finally come to understand what it is to now be fae, too. If only she'd been cursed, instead. That would have been simpler. Then, at least, the whole of fate wouldn't rest on her shoulders, and hers alone.

Revisado: 07-24-24
The story is not unrealistic because of the fantasy aspect but because no one in their right mind would act like these characters. This is just self serving acotar fan fiction.

Historia
Emily Wilde is a genius scholar of faerie folklore who just wrote the world’s first comprehensive encyclopedia of faeries. She’s learned many of the secrets of the Hidden Ones on her adventures . . . and also from her fellow scholar and former rival Wendell Bambleby. Because Bambleby is more than infuriatingly charming. He’s an exiled faerie king on the run from his murderous mother and in search of a door back to his realm.

I am so thoroughly enchanted by this series
Revisado: 04-24-24
These are so wholesome and whimsical I’m so in love with the artistry of viewing a mythical world through the lens of scientific observation and research. The originality of fictional historical fantasy cultural anthropology is so fascinating with just the right amount of narrator self awareness that tickles my neurodivergent introvert brain just the right way. And we all love a good fae love story that doesn’t entirely take over the plot but is still integral in driving it. Thank you.

Historia
Two weeks have passed since Iris Winnow returned home bruised and heartbroken from the front, but the war is far from over. Roman is missing, and the city of Oath continues to dwell in a state of disbelief and ignorance. When Iris and Attie are given another chance to report on Dacre’s movements, they both take the opportunity and head westward once more despite the danger, knowing it’s only a matter of time before the conflict reaches a city that’s unprepared and fracturing beneath the chancellor’s reign.

One of the most satisfying second half of a duality I’ve ever read
Revisado: 04-22-24
I am perfectly content with that. I’m really happy with all the twists and turns in this book, but I found it less compelling than the first book because I’m a bigger sucker for the falling in love parts. This ending was definitely not lazy nor did I see most of it coming. The firing line, Forest and his love interest. Like I’m really glad that not everything was sparkles and rainbows in the end like most fantasy stories usually turn out (“ everything miraculously turns out ok and everyone we met stays alive”) because this wasn’t a sparkles and rainbows story.

Historia
London, 1812. Oliver Bennet feels trapped. Not just by the endless corsets, petticoats and skirts he's forced to wear on a daily basis, but also by society's expectations. The world—and the vast majority of his family and friends—think Oliver is a girl named Elizabeth. He is therefore expected to mingle at balls wearing a pretty dress, entertain suitors regardless of his interest in them, and ultimately become someone's wife. But Oliver can't bear the thought of such a fate.

Revisado: 12-07-23
This series’ take on magic and wielding was so interesting and thrilling. I absolutely love the characters and the setting and the drama. I’m all about this. So glad it’s only 2 books so it was easy to consume rapidly but I’m sad that it’s only 2 because it’s over. Loved it. Thank you.

Historia
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

I loved everything about this book and I was so taken with all of the characters… was anyone else kinda stuck on the accents though? Even if he was trying to differentiate.. and all of the voices did sound different but… all the accents ended up sounding…Spanish/Portuguese reminiscent
