Wonderful book
Revisado: 12-20-17
The stories of the songs were very well told, and amazing. I was especially blown away with the story of The Twelve Days of Christmas. I'll never hear it the same again. Some of the songs have a much older history than I ever imagined. Loved it!

Where did the universe come from? What was there before it? What will the future bring? And finally, why is there something rather than nothing? Krauss’ answers to these and other timeless questions, in a wildly popular lecture on YouTube, has attracted almost a million viewers. One of the few prominent scientists to have actively crossed the chasm between science and popular culture, Krauss reveals that modern science is indeed addressing the question of why there is something rather than nothing—with surprising and fascinating results.

What a waste
Revisado: 11-04-17
The science is very interesting, but the amount of time spent religion bashing and blowing his own horn really detracted from the book.

Awesome narration!
Revisado: 11-04-17
Emily Bauer was absolutely perfect for this book. In fact, I think that was the best narration I've heard period since starting to listen to audio books. Her character voices were easy to distinguish, and she really set a great tone for the story.
It was my first book by Seanan McGuire but it certainly won't be my last!

Disappointing
Revisado: 09-19-17
I never got around to reading any James Patterson, so I decided to give a listen. This was a boring book. I'm going to give him one more try, on something he wrote alone, and see if it's better. The narration suited the story style well, with some great voices.

Revisado: 08-31-17
Mrs. Pollifax is always one of my favorites, but listening to Barbara Rosenblat's narration brought it to a whole new level. It was wonderful. I can't believe she can give such great, and recognizable voices to such a wide cast of characters. I will be looking for more of her work!

Surprisingly great listen
Revisado: 07-09-17
I don't even remember why I chose this book, but boy was it a great choice! Luke Daniels is my favorite narrator I've heard so far. He is easy to listen to, and his characters were awesome. Very quickly they became a snap to recognize. As for the story, each time I thought it was going somewhere cliche, it didn't. Loved it.

Not quite Doc, but fun
Revisado: 05-26-17
While the story was quite as good as the originals, it was still a fun listen.
Michael McConnohie is great at narrating this style of book, though sometimes his female voices tend to sound the same. It was very fun to listen to.

Historia
In 1915, Sherlock Holmes is retired and quietly engaged in the study of honeybees in Sussex when a young woman literally stumbles onto him on the Sussex Downs. Fifteen years old, gawky, egotistical, and recently orphaned, the young Mary Russell displays an intellect to impress even Sherlock Holmes. Under his reluctant tutelage, this very modern, twentieth-century woman proves a deft protégée and a fitting partner for the Victorian detective.

Revisado: 04-05-17
As a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes, I was hesitant to listen to this. What a marvelous surprise it was. It felt just like my old favorites and Jenny Sterlin's narration was perfection for this book. I haven't looked yet, but I sure hope there are more!

In the town of Maplebark, four such NPCs settle in for a night of actively ignoring the adventurers drinking in the tavern when things go quickly and fatally awry.

Revisado: 02-21-17
This was the best book yet I've listened to. I used to be a gamer long, long ago, and this book nailed it, but with a great twist. Roger Wayne is definitely my favorite narrator so far. I'm really looking forward to the next book.

Poor portrayal of Doc Savage.
Revisado: 02-08-17
This story had so many errors about Doc that it was like hearing a story about a completely different character. The narration was okay, but as a Doc Savage fan of over 45 years, the story was a disappointment.
