Once again in reading Luanne Rice's books, why do these narrators insist on doing different voices for different characters rather than simply reading the book and letting the listener leave it up to their own imagination what people "sound" like? Some of the voices are so insipid it destroys the storytelling. The ever-changing name teenage girl's voice sounds like a weird adult acting like a baby. A mother who's not that old sounding like an old crone. I suffered through the entire book just to hear the story. A father sounding like an old crank. Next time I won't waste my money.

Love the book. love the author, can't stomach the voice of the narrator. If she hadn't made male voices sound like dunces and children sound so pedantic, it would've been fine. We have enough imagination to hear a story in the narrator's natural voice. To hear romantic interests speak like morons destroys the experience. People making these recordings should listen to them, realize the mistake and make corrections before inflicting this on listeners. It ruined the book for me.
