Written by Artificial Intelligence?

I think this was written by AI. This is full of the most generic advice possible. Don’t bother.

Historia
Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Emmy winner Emma Thompson lends her immense talent and experienced voice to Henry James' Gothic ghost tale, The Turn of the Screw. When a governess is hired to care for two children at a British country estate, she begins to sense an otherworldly presence around the grounds. Are they really ghosts she's seeing? Or is something far more sinister at work?

Great, but Mightn't be the Best on Audible

Infuriatingly vague
Revisado: 11-23-22
“The horror! The things she says! The wickedness!” But do we ever get any clarity on what is going on? How this haunting works? What the children know? No. Never. If I’d written this for a class I’d get a C. Classics are sometimes overrated.
Emma Thompson was BRILLIANT but even she could not save this slow, frustrating story.

Historia
When the townspeople of Lochdubh begin receiving poison-pen letters, no one takes them very seriously, even if they are full of wild accusations. But Hamish fears that they might lead to something deadly. His instincts prove correct when the town's postmistress is found hanging from a rope with a poison-pen letter at her feet. Though it appears to be a suicide, Hamish suspects something more sinister. Attempting to trace the letters, the last thing Hamish needs is any distractions, but soon Jenny Ogilvie arrives in Lochdubh determined to seduce him.

Weak tea
Revisado: 04-10-22
I don’t know why I keep listening to these except maybe because they’re free. The writing is sloppy and weak, giving no more attention to the climax of the book than to a description of having a coffee. The narration, sadly, matched. No drama in the voice. All read at the same pace. Good for falling asleep.

Historia
Raina Bretton is a rag woman in London's East End when a handsome stranger appears in a dank alley and offers her a glittering smile and a chance for adventure. Rothburne Abbey has a unique position for her, one that will take her away from her hardscrabble life and give her a chance to be a lady. Things she could only dream of might be coming true. But some dreams turn out to be nightmares. Though Raina has traded squalor for silk and satin, something about the abbey is deeply unsettling.

It’s a morality play
Revisado: 03-12-21
There’s a LOT of god talk in this story that can get kind of grating. I wish I’d known. The story is decent, if a little slow. Reader is good except all the men sound very similar.
