Historia
When the bodies of three teenagers were found on the shores of Lake Waco, Texas, in July 1982, even seasoned lawmen were taken aback by the savage mutilation and degradation to which they had been subjected. Yet only 52 days after the gruesome triple-murder was discovered, frustrated authorities suspended the case indefinitely. Patrol Sergeant Truman Simons, who had been called to the scene that night, saw the carnage firsthand - and vowed to find the ferocious killer or killers. He soon became a man with a mission, risking his career and his family's safety in search of evidence.

Detailed investigation! Awesome narrator. The best podcast I have listened to so far. The way it was narrated, without all the useless commentating was refreshing. Thank you for bring this case back to the public and helping justice be served!

Between 2005 and 2009, the bodies of eight women were discovered around the murky canals and crawfish ponds of Jennings, Louisiana, a bayou town of 10,000 in the Jefferson Davis parish. Law enforcement officials were quick to pursue a serial killer theory, opening a floodgate of media coverage, from CNN to the New York Times. Collectively the victims became known as the "Jeff Davis 8," and their lives, their deaths, and the ongoing investigation reveals a small community's closely guarded secrets.

Unbelievable Corruption
Revisado: 02-02-23
I've listened to the, seen the documentaries, and it still stuns, to see how blatantly corrupt, the Louisiana police department of this parish is!!! Will there ever be justice for all of these victims?!?!

"In the summer of 1991 I was a normal kid. I did normal things. I had friends and a mother who loved me. I was just like you. Until the day my life was stolen. For eighteen years I was a prisoner. I was an object for someone to use and abuse. For eighteen years I was not allowed to speak my own name. I became a mother and was forced to be a sister. For eighteen years I survived an impossible situation. On August 26, 2009, I took my name back. My name is Jaycee Lee Dugard. I dont think of myself as a victim. I survived...."

Heart rending and hope!
Revisado: 08-29-22
This true story, is so heart breaking and hopeful. The family's strength and determination to find their lost / murdered loved one and get her case the media attention that is so deserved, is remarkable! The story is true, and sadly in more ways than just being murdered. As a nation, under God, why is their still racism in this day and age! We all bleed red! Why are the black women, not seen in so many ways. I pray Tamika's story touches all who listen or reads book, band brings a much needed change.

Historia
For 10 years, the California Interstate 5 highway was haunted by a dangerous serial killer. Incredibly skilled at staying ahead of the investigators as the bodies started to pile up, there wasn't enough evidence to charge the culprit with murder even once he'd been identified. Instead, they had to build a first-degree murder case in a few months while the killer was locked up on an assault conviction. Key to this was a cast of four: Vito Bertocchini, Kay Maulsby, Ray Biondi, and Faye Springer.

Four decades after it first shook the nation, then the world, William Peter Blatty's thrilling masterwork of faith and demonic possession returns in an even more powerful form. Raw and profane, shocking and blood-chilling, it remains a modern parable of good and evil and perhaps the most terrifying novel ever written.

Could not put the book down! The book is so much more than the movie
You feel the pain, heartbreak and sorry, this is due to the narrator. The narrator was excellent! Would love hearing William Blatty narrate other books, for me he is one of the best I've ever heard.
