A brutally Honest Read

This book was a really hard read for me. I really appreciate the bringing to light of the struggles of the Vietnam war and the horrible truth of PTSD and trauma. This book was also a really well written piece. However this book became SO horribly depressing and heartbreaking that I couldn’t finish that last couple chapters. The mane protagonist experiences tragedy after tragedy after returning home from the war and each event is worse than the last. It was a truly heartbreaking story.

Loved this series so much, but I HATE cliffhangers when I don’t already have the next book to read. Very disappointing. This story was really creative and romantic and I could not stop listening to it. I hope that Jacob Gowans will write a third book soon!
