Revisado: 09-30-24
Such intentional and well written characters and stories. SO creative and engaging. Please please please that there be a part 2 anthology in the NEAR future. This is happily nestled in my classics and regular reads.

So good had to read it twice
Revisado: 01-06-23
There seems no satisfying words to describe just how warm book two and the overall pulse of the story has burst into existence. A warm hug.

Walking the border of love and grief
Revisado: 12-10-22
I really loved these woven stories within this 4 book series. “The poetry of its words” and the “melody of layered emotions” crafted together…I’m moved by how it even helped me to process or face my own grief through the different characters struggles and triumphs. I felt seen. Tis a great read/listen. Would definitely recommend hands down.

LOVED
Revisado: 12-16-21
I immediately felt the words and emotions through X. Honestly I still feel swept away in all Elizabeth Acevedo portrayed through this deeply relatable character (and family/community). One thing I would have like more, is for there to be more; another dive deeper or further into this refreshing world created.

Wow such beauty
Revisado: 01-21-21
From the words, story, the journey and the visceral performance...such beauty was experienced within these pages. It was everything wonderful, heartbreaking, empowering, chilling and exciting. Such beauty and power. An embodiment that I need when faced with a time personally to show up for myself and those I love in the small and big ways. Thank you for sharing your heart.

Hauntingly good origin story?!
Revisado: 06-09-20
Brilliant and very well written. Thoroughly enjoyed the weaving of the storyline and even its homage to the Hunger Games series. Intriguing from start to end.
Would highly recommend for those who also felt swept away by the love and creativity of the world of Panem.
