This is book 1 in the Gemini Group series and introduces us to Nixon Swagger and McKenna Wilson. Nixon has returned home after his time in the Seal's was up to try to figure out where his life will go next. McKenna lives on the neighboring property and is just trying to take care of her siblings after losing their parents. Every day is a struggle in trying to figure out how to move forward. When she and Nixon meet, sparks fly. But neither thinks they are ready for the other let alone everything they could come to mean to each other.

I absolutely loved this story. From the very start it sucked me in and kept me reading. Nixon is definitely your typical alpha male, however he has this beautiful heart. And you get to see that almost from the start with his interactions not only with McKenna but with her brother and sister. The fact that he was such an upstanding man from the get go made me love it all the more. McKenna is this truly wonderful woman who even while mourning for her parents herself, she is still trying to pull her siblings through to the other side. The struggles she deals with and knowing that she truly just wants the people she loves to be happy made me love her even more. And the fact that on top of that, she is smart, snarky, and just makes you laugh? Made it even better. This was the perfect way to start this series off and with the great side characters that were introduced as well, I can't wait to read the next one!!

The audio for this book is also as well done as the writing! Erin Mallon and Joe Arden do a phenomenal job of bringing the characters to life and keeping me listening and loving it!

Not Sure I Liked Caleb

This is the 3rd book in the Less Than series and while it could be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the previous books so that you can see all the different connections and relationships. In this one we get Caleb and Zoey's story. Zoey has loved Caleb since she was eight years old and he saved her. And watching him go through all the different women he has gone through has broken her heart over and over again. She is tired of watching him with different women and has decided she wants to see him fall in love with her. Caleb may have once wanted commitment but when the unexpected happens, he doesn't think that option is open for him anymore. And no matter how important Zoey might have become to him, he feels like he has to walk away in order to not break her apart.

Ordinarily I love this author's books. And while I liked this one and it was good, it isn't my favorite of the series. There is almost a disconnect for me with the story at points. And I didn't really like how Caleb is, which really surprised me since I usually love the heroes of her stories! I didn't really like how long he was keeping his secret and basically acting like she couldn't handle or love him because of it. It's still a decent read, and I will probably re-read it at some point. It's just not my favorite of the series. Samantha Cook and Jacob Morgan did good with the narration. I really like Jacob Morgan's voice and his tone, I'm not sure that I always like Samantha Cook's tone of voice but together they did make the story enjoyable!

This is book 2 in the Elements of Five series and it absolutely must be read in order!! If you don't read the first one, you won't understand the events that happen in this one. Especially as this one builds upon the things that happened in the first book. Lyric lost everything when she found out about the Maison realm and her connection to it. Now she has to travel back to that realm in order to complete her training. But this time it's with Easton and the other Obscurité warriors will stand by her side as she tries to unlock her final three elements.

I absolutely enjoyed this installment!! In this one Lyric learns that there are other's against her that she didn't realize before. And her and her new friends definitely have to figure out who it is exactly while still keeping her safe. Lyric has already been through so much and this, to me, just added even more to that pile. But she steps up like the strong person she is, which I loved! We get to see even more the other characters and get more of their stories. And that definitely drew me in and kept me wanting to read more. I also liked that there was a bit of romance in this one, which makes me think that at sometime in the future Lyric will not only get to where she need's to be in her "professional" life but that she will also have a HEA with someone she will love! And I always love a good HEA!!! Can't wait for the next installment!! Bailey Carr is a narrator that I haven't heard of before but she did a great job! Her tone of voice is good, no completely strange accents that drive me nuts, and I liked how she brought the characters to life. I wouldn't mind listening to her again!

This is book 2 in the Montgomery Ink: Boulder series and it can absolutely be read as a stand alone although I do recommend reading the 1st book because it introduces these characters in that book. In this one we get Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland's story. Ethan and Lincoln have been best friend's since they were kids although they both have feelings for each other that they don't think are reciprocated. Neither expected to meet Holland in a wedding dress drinking wine out of a paper bag. Or figuring out over time that this is the one woman who can bring them all together. But can they figure out what they need and keep each other safe at the same time?

I really liked this one! Ethan and Lincoln are both extremely lovable people that you can't help but root for a happy ending between all of them. They are both strong, funny, and sweet. Especially to the people that they care about. Holland has this horrible family that has crushed her down. My only problem with her is that she tends to think the very worst when one thing goes wrong. I get that she was beat down but at some point you just have to realize that it's not you that is the problem. On a whole, I really liked it. And I even liked the little bit of suspense towards the end! Can't wait for the next one! Tor Thom narrates this in a way that you can't help but love. He brings all the characters and the story to life in ways that I didn't really expect but it made me enjoy listening to it even more. His tone of voice is always great and this one was no exception to that!

Phenomenal Narration!

Ok let me just say that I would absolutely read the original series before reading this one. Otherwise you may be confused about a lot of things, and those original books introduce us to most of these characters as well.

Book 1 is Fallen For Alpha's

We finally get Alec and Liam's story!! I was slightly upset when the original series ended as I never felt like these 2 got their story. Especially after I was left feeling like their was a definite story there for us! And this one in no way disappoints! Alec and Liam are still trying to figure out what they can mean to each other, all while trying not lose each other in the end. They are not only best friends but they truly love each other and want the best for each other. And when their Alpha pushes them into an assignment together, it not only forces them to face what they are to each other but brings their story to life in a way that you can't help but love! Perfect for them! Loved it and how things end up for them!!

Book 2 is At Last Sight

In this one we get Jonah's story along with the full background for him. And it broke my heart knowing what truly happened to him! But his and Poppy's story is excellent. Poppy is running for her life for things that should never have happened to her. But she shows a strength of character that I truly wasn't expecting. Along with introducing a supernatural that I certainly wasn't expecting but I actually really liked! Another one that I loved seeing get a HEA along with showing that he will always be kick butt!!

Book 3 is Blood's First Kiss

I really wanted Calypso's story after reading her brother's story. And I certainly didn't expect it to take the turn that it does!! But WOW!! I loved the introduction of yet another new supernatural to this world!! Micha has been through so much and is just fighting for his people's survival, not expecting to find his mate. Another excellent read!! And shows us that the Conclave is still wrong about a lot of things!

Book 4 is Reapers Song

Ok so I don't want to say too much about this one because if you are like me and cried over this character in the previous book he was seen in, you will be beyond happy about this story!! And how everything comes about in it! A beautiful story about what you will do for a mate, regardless of your memory!

All in all, I loved every single one of these stories and it definitely tied up a lot of loose ends after the ending of the original series. But it also left me wanting the series to start up again! But you never know, it could happen!! Aiden Snow did phenomenal with his narration! I loved listening to his voice and he definitely brought these stories to life in a way that I wasn't expecting!

Friend to Lovers Done Right!

Bristol Montgomery and Marcus Stearn have been best friends since they were little kids. Friends and family always wondered if there was more there, but they steadfastly stuck with the status quo of they were just best friends. On the eve of everything changing for them, they made a bet that if they were both still single at 30, they would marry each other. Neither truly thought it would happen. Now they are both 30, and neither can stop thinking about that bet. Or about what things might be between them if they changed things. And when they make the decision to go ahead and get married, what will that do their friendship?

I absolutely loved this one! Now while this book might be the 3rd in this off-shoot series, it can absolutely be read as a stand alone. I do highly recommend reading the previous books before reading this one, but that is only because you will see all those characters in this book and it introduces these characters as well. This book is not only sweet but it takes you through all the things that can happen when a friendship turns from friends to lovers. And all the pitfalls that may come with it. Bristol and Marcus are not only cute together but they are sweet. They just forget how to do something that most couples learn as they are just starting to date-communicate! This story sucked me in from the start and kept me reading and hoping it would all work out. And I am so glad it did! But now I really need a side story for Zia! Loved it!! The narration is fast paced, no weird or strange accents which always drives me nuts! Jason Clarke has this deep, sexy, sometimes almost growly voice that I loved listening to! Definitely worth a re-listen!

OK so parts of this story I had a hard time with. I think it was just me though. I had a hard time liking Tamara which, for me, is just strange because usually I really like her type of character. She is completely wild, headstrong, and just out there. But she also seemed slightly childish to me and that was the part I had a hard time connecting with. But I loved Mammoth! So he made the story for me. There are lots of steamy spots and he just is this stand up guy. Not what you are expecting at all!! I really loved his character and how he was. My other issue was that the end seemed rushed and the story itself seemed to be missing something. Not my favorite book in this series, which surprised me since I usually love this author's books!

Jacob Morgan's voice is exceptional and I love how narrates a book. I'm not so sure that I truly liked Callie Dalton's voice though. Sometimes it just got on my nerves and annoyed me. Something about the tone when it came to certain words. So all in all, not a bad listen but not a favorite for me.

This book continues right where Flame left off-so you absolutely have to read Flame before this one!! There is just as much action in this one as the first one and Gigi's family comes to help because that is what their family does! Gigi still kinda got on my nerves but I love Pike and everything to do with that man!! I loved the fact that this series is building on the original series that we all know and love!

Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor do an amazing job with the narration. There aren't any crazy accents and I love Jason Clarke's voice!! So nice to listen to! Now I just need to wait for the next one!

I really liked this one! Amelia goes through something that most women truly never want to happen. And you can only imagine how hurt she truly is. Tucker went through literal hell as a child and has managed to find his happiness as an adult but he holds pieces of himself apart in order to keep himself safe. And while you understand why, it makes your heart ache for the things he is missing out on. I loved them together, they made me laugh and their interactions are not only sweet but hot at times. The only thing I didn't like-I felt I was left hanging on why her best friend just suddenly changed. I didn't feel like there was any true closure I guess. I feel like I need to know why he did the things he did and how he could just cut someone out of his life like that. Or tell tales the way he apparently was. Other than that-I loved the book!

As usual you can't go wrong with the narrator's! Jacob Morgan and Samantha Cooke brings these characters to life in a way that makes you want to keep listening. There aren't any crazy accents (That gets on my nerves sometimes!) and they both bring across the emotions in the story without making it seem like they are forcing anything. Which I really liked! All in all, a great listen!

I absolutely loved this one! If you have ever been cheated on, then you know how devastating it can be. It eats away at you and makes you wonder what is wrong with yourself or what you did wrong-even knowing it isn't anything to do with you or anything that you did. And this author wrote this in a way that not only conveys how badly it affects you but the confidence issues that are left in the wake along with the hurt and pain. Erin is this beautiful woman who trusted someone she had known since childhood and was hurt in the most emotional way possible. But she still manages to get up and do what needs doing and is just trying to move on with her life. Devin is this great man who not only stands behind his family when they need it but he will stand with his friends and just be a generally stand up person. And they have this beautiful, heart felt connection that I absolutely loved! Yes, there is a lot of chemistry between them. But what I loved even more than that was the fact that they figured out that not only could they be there as friends for each other but that they could be more and truly trust each other. I loved it!!

The narration is excellent! The emotions come across wonderfully and I loved Jacob Morgan's tone of voice! Samantha Cooke and Jacob Morgan did a great job of not only bringing this story to life but conveying how emotional the things that Erin went through made them.
