Historia
King Jofka Rasalased of the Visanth Empire is a man who grabs life by the horns. No woman is safe from his allure. No kingdom can intimidate him. The empire prospers in his shadow...until an assassin’s blade ends the reign of the ambitious, charismatic king. Prince Jandhar finds his dying father and the same deadly knife at his own throat. The killer utters a warning that the prince will never heed. As the assassin leaves, the Kingdom of Surdel cheers at an empire retreating, but Visanth is not a nation in decline. It is a snake recoiling.

Absolutely worth the credit
Revisado: 07-09-21
A great continuation to the story. Narration was as great as the last books. I honestly couldn't get into the storyline with Jandhar. Relating to his mindset and the absurdity of his "quest" no matter what was in front of him made no sense to me. Hopefully the new focus on his brother improves my opinion for that side of the small sea. I can't wait for more focus on literally anyone else, every storyline besides Jandhar's has been spectacular. Well done Rex! You'll still get all of my credits for the rest of the series!

Historia
Just when Baron Minalan the Spellmonger figured out there was a slim chance to restore his mind-shattered wife Alya (if he's willing to journey to the undercaverns of Olum Seheri, the lair of Korbal the Necromancer), things start to go awry: not only does Prince Tavard, his unloved liege lord, decide to conduct an official state visit to Sevendor on pilgrimage to the Everfire on the Briga's feast day, but a mysterious seamage appears at his door with an intriguing offer from the Sea Folk who rule Callidore: They want to buy snowstone. An entire mountain of it.

Progression
Revisado: 04-24-20
First off, wow, this book went above and beyond what I hoped from another in this series. For my main point of this review, when a story gets as far in as this, a lot of times so many characters or branches of story start to branch to more and no progression happens in the time frame of a book. That did not happen here, this book was quite long true, but the amount of progression that happened was so well done and fit so well that I can't help but write a review about it. Well done Terry Mancour!
