Historia
When the daughter of San Francisco socialites is brutally assaulted, Jamie Vail makes it her mission to find the attacker. A seasoned sex crimes inspector with the SFPD, work is what Jamie does best. She isn't distracted by the fact her adopted son and the victim go to the same school. Jamie can almost set aside the fact the man caught on tape with the victim is someone she's been wary of for years - her son's biological father.

oops. I had no idea that this was a series. I am not sure what I've missed out on. Beyond that, the book was okay. I liked the story but sometimes it felt like it drug... It may have been better on paper. I also thought that Jamie was not anything like a cop, which was disappointing. do I regret it? not really...

Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

So far one of the best books I have come across
Revisado: 11-27-18
i wonder how someone who hasn't faced adversity will enjoy this book... but I hope that they would read it to better understand where some of us are coming from. That said, this book doesn't just confirm theories on disadvantages... it's way more than that. It doesn't soothe people's excuses... does disprove preconceived ideas and biases... makes you look at the bigger picture of success... I am still wrapping my head around it but have learned so much!! have already been effected by the wider perspective I now have. Great content and data... felt like I was REALLY learning.
