Historia
Most all tarot books present card-by-card interpretations as well as an instruction on how to read spreads. This book takes the next logical step inward by presenting the art of reading in a workbook format and helps you learn to interpret the cards intuitively. The book falls into two parts. The first part concerns learning about the cards and includes exercises for each card that teaches you to trust your interpretation of the card. The second part helps you develop that ability, a skill that Reed calls “intuition”.

Historia
Tarot is best used as a tool for self-discovery, healing, growth, empowerment, and liberation. Tarot archetypes provide the reader with a window into present circumstances and future potential. But what if that window only opened up on a world that was white, European, and heterosexual? The interpretations of the tarot that have been passed down through tradition presuppose a commonality and normalcy among humanity. At the root of card meanings are archetypes that we accept without questioning. But at what point do archetypes become stereotypes?

Don't waste your time
Revisado: 12-19-19
When I read the title and the synopsis I expected a queer reading of the tarot. But anyone who has been reading the cards for more than 5 minutes will figure out fast enough that this is not very good tarot interpretation and every LGBT+ person will understand the level of simplification the author employs in her interpretation. This is not queering the tarot. For me, queering the tarot would be placing it in the context of alternative methods of knowing and within the context of queer theory, not coming up with "brilliant" ideas like The Hermit = asexual. This is not queering the tarot, this is misunderstanding the tarot.
The only part that I really find interesting - but this has been written and talked about for decades now - is providing a way of reading court cards without relying on gender binaries. As I said - this is nothing new but it is important. It's certainly not worth buying the book for.

Historia
Adultery, alcoholism, drugs and murder on the suburban streets of Bournemouth. The Rattenbury case of 1935 was one of the great tabloid sensations of the interwar period. The glamorous femme fatale at the heart of the story dominated the front pages for months, somewhere between the rise of Hitler and the launch of the Queen Mary.

This book is about as boring as it gets. A shame, considering what an interesting story it is.

Scary voice, a bit too much Jesus
Revisado: 08-27-19
The voice sounds like he's narrating a horror movie, which makes the Biblical quotes really pop. I appreciate that this book adopts a Christian interpretation of the tarot because a lot of contemporary authors are not Christian and they purposefully (or out of ignorance - don't know what's worse) omit the numerous Biblical and Christian references from the RWS symbolism. However, by the end of the book I was slightly overwhelmed and bored by the unrelated and frankly unnecessary Biblical quotes.
As far as the tarot-related content goes, it's a good introduction for beginners, no matter what their religion is. Just get the written book or don't listen to this one in the dark. :-)

The best thing about it is the narration
Revisado: 08-27-19
As soon as someone starts talking about tarot coming from ancient Egypt despite the wealth of evidence to suggest otherwise, and when their logic is "this is just what I believe"... skip it. I understand that this is not science and doesn't require the same rigor, but if someone decides to ignore the consensus of experts in any field because they just feel a certain way, then why bother.
