Historia
The United States is being bombarded with cyber-attacks. From the surge in ransomware groups targeting critical infrastructure to nation states compromising the software supply chain and corporate email servers, malicious cyber activities have reached an all-time high. Russia attracts the most attention, but China is vastly more sophisticated. They have a common interest in exploiting the openness of the Internet and social media—and our democracy—to erode confidence in our institutions and to exacerbate our societal rifts to prevent us from mounting an effective response.

Historia
It’s a signal paradox of our times that we live in an information society but do not know how it works. And without understanding how our information is stored, used, and protected, we are vulnerable to having it exploited. In Fancy Bear Goes Phishing, Scott J. Shapiro draws on his popular Yale University class about hacking to expose the secrets of the digital age. With lucidity and wit, he establishes that cybercrime has less to do with defective programming than with the faulty wiring of our psyches and society.

Familiar stories with new twists
Revisado: 08-09-23
Although I've heard some of these stories a hundred times, I still learned new things. The angle he took to describe everything is very accessible and I encourage anyone from beginner to advanced to check out this book. The narrator's voice was great and he only fumbled a couple times over some of the IT terms. I visited the author's social media and was not disappointed. I'd definitely take any course he decided to teach.

ENCORE! ENCORE!
Revisado: 08-26-19
My wife, my daughters, my dog, and I all listened to this while on a road trip. It was a hit for the whole family! It's strange and magical... We loved every minute. The narration and audio was great! Not only did we listen to the whole thing, we even listened to some StevenSteven on the way back home. My oldest daughter even asked if there's a Foreverywhere book, because she wanted to read it and see its art. 10/10 ⭐ Highly recommend. We want more of this

Took some getting used to, but I was spellbound
Revisado: 10-06-18
So in preparation of the new DDAL Waterdeep mods and trying to fill in some backstory for my Season 8 Character I listened to City of the Dead on audible. By the end of the book I could really relate to several of the characters, especially the main character. Sometimes I also undervalue myself and I think this is something a lot of people can identify with.
