I have followed Nedra Glover Tawwab on instagram for a long time and I find her work so helpful and insightful. This book is full of practical advice concerning family dynamics, relationships, connection, dysfunction and boundaries. Most people will find something in this book that they can relate to. Even the sections that don't yet relate to me are useful for the future and interesting to consider.

Very good advice, positive and inspiring!

A really great book on money, mindset and life. Usually I find financial books depressing and anxiety inducing but this book was so positive and really hopeful. It's also realistic and gives you clarity in terms of your money mindset and any bad moves you have historically made. However, this is done without judgement or shaming and the advice is uplifting and solid. Very helpful and I know that I'll be following a lot of what he says here in my own life. Really great stuff! Fantastic!

This book was a revelation. So many great insights and it helped me to understand and process a lot of stuff from my childhood and beyond. Recommended if you've ever felt ignored, unseen, too sensitive, extremely lonely or misunderstood by your family or others in your life. The book talks about parents but I was able to apply this to siblings and other people in my past as well. It explained a lot for me and a positive shift and move forward has definitely happened for me. Thank you!

So much better than I thought it was going to be!

I've read/listened to a few books on dating and this is one of the best ones I've come across. Some reviewers have said that it left them feeling bleak and negative but for me it was quite the opposite! I found it quite affirming as there are many of these situations he describes in the book that I've experienced, where I've known that a mans behaviour was uncool. I feel vindicated now after thus book, lol.

It was very informative and made perfect sense to me. The only thing I didn't like was some of the language about being 'feminine' or painting all women as marriage mad and looking for a 'masculine' man. Some of the way he phrased things was slightly old-fashioned, but it was a minor thing.

Aside from that, some good helpful advice and to his credit, the writer encourages women to love themselves and treat themselves with respect. He urges us to walk away when a man isn't treating us well and as he put it 'make being treated right by the right man a priority over male attention'. Oof, this booked dragged me but I needed it! A nice short book as well. No nonsense and to the point!

Very enjoyable soapy thriller

This was a fun and intriguing story. Only thing that let it down was that there were a lot of characters and sometimes it was hard to remember who was who (especially the husbands). And also the identity of the 'victim' could have (and should have) been revealed much sooner. I loved the female solidarity and strong and flawed women in the story. Even Olivia, who was truly a terrible human being, was fun to listen to. I can easily see this as a TV show or film. It was very raunchy in parts but I love me some raunch so its a thumbs up from me! :D.

Interesting idea but not very deep character study

This idea for the story was an interesting one but the characters were a bit 2 dimensional and it was very black and white. Iris- good and a victim. Sasha- bad and a villian. The lack of nuance and depth made them feel less like real people. I would liked to have seen more multifaceted characters and a truer story. The performance was good though.

Enjoyable tale about old Hollywood and great love

I really enjoyed this one. I'm a big fan of fictional tales of the rich and famous which probably have some truth borrowed from the real life stars that inspired them. Evelyn Hugo is the greatest film star that never actually existed! Brilliant story telling.
