Historia
First published from 1872 to 1969, Morals and Dogma is one of the most insightful works ever prepared for Freemasonry. It is a collection of 32 essays which provide a rationale for the Scottish Rite degrees. It encompasses a study of Freemasonry, wise philosophy, ancient mysteries, mythology, ritual, and religion. It serves the useful purpose of putting Masonic morality and ethics within the context of the general society, and bids man to think large - to cast aside the petty concerns of everyday life and to improve ourselves.

Great book and narration
Revisado: 05-17-24
I appreciate the content in the book and the care that went into writing it. The narrator has an easy to listen to voice and reads the book well. I liked that the footnotes were included in the reading, but the footnotes were mixed in with the main text and I found that it was sometimes difficult for me to recognize when the reading of a footnote ended and the reading of the main text of the book began again. Also, the editing could have used more attention. There were a couple of moments in which sections being read overlapped each other so that it sounded like two narrators were reading different passages at the same time. There may have also been a paragraph that was omitted at the end of a chapter (if my memory is serving me correctly). Overall, though, this is one of my favorite audio books and I am happy with the purchase.

It's naturally easier to learn something when it's set to rhythmic music, so that is exactly what we've done. Simple words and phrases are set to a varied pattern of rhythms and music designed to help you learn and to keep you engaged so that you won't just switch off after five minutes. It will give you an easy road into starting to learn a completely new language. If you just want a few simple words and phrases before going abroad, Rhythms is all you need.

Not enough to be useful
Revisado: 05-08-24
To begin with, I liked the use of background music and how the words and phrases were repeated. I think the overall delivery is well done. However, I had hoped there would be a lot more to this audio book than there actually was. The content is so sparse as to almost be random. The intent behind Eurotalk Cebuano appears to be to provide tourists with random words that they can say in the hope of impressing people in Cebu by saying random Cebuano words when the opportunities arise, such as if the tourist sees a tomato, points at the tomato, says the Cebuano word for it, and is then congratulated for knowing a Cebuano word. I was hoping for more of a proper language course to help ground me in the basics of Cebuano. It's a language that I need to know for travel and for better communication with my in-laws. There are some good books available, but I haven't yet come across any audio courses of the sort I was hoping Eurotalk Cebuano would be.

Historia
Widely regarded as his major work, Crowley's Magick in Theory and Practice is an extensive treatise on magick, a system of Western occult practice synthesized from many sources, including Eastern yoga, hermeticism, medieval grimoires, contemporary magical theories, and Crowley's own original contributions. As important today as when it was first written, Magick in Theory and Practice is essential listening for anyone interested in occultism.

The law of "Thelma"
Revisado: 05-21-23
The reader has a good voice and reads at a nice pace, but some of the pronunciation is cringeworthy and grating to the ears.
