Historia
On a foggy summer night, 11 people - 10 privileged, one down-on-his-luck painter - depart Martha's Vineyard on a private jet headed for New York. Sixteen minutes later, the unthinkable happens: The plane plunges into the ocean. The only survivors are the painter Scott Burroughs and a four-year-old boy, who is now the last remaining member of an immensely wealthy and powerful media mogul's family. Was it by chance that so many influential people perished? Or was something more sinister at work?

What a Story!
Revisado: 07-17-17
This was an amazing story. I particularly liked the changing points of view we get from the victims of the crash. The story was very well written, the performance masterful.

Historia
Komarr could be a garden with 1,000 more years' work, or an uninhabitable wasteland if the terraforming fails. Now, the solar mirror vital to the terraforming of the conquered planet has been shattered by a ship hurtling off course. The emperor of Barrayar sends his newest imperial auditor, Lord Miles Vorkosigan, to find out why.

I Love Miles' Books!
Revisado: 06-11-13
What made the experience of listening to Komarr the most enjoyable?
I've read every book in the series, and I got my mother (who's 80) to read them, too. Fun, sweet, very well written. Komarr just pushes Miles' story along even more. READ THEM ALL!
What about Grover Gardner’s performance did you like?
He's always great.
Any additional comments?
If you haven't read Bujold's Vorkosigan series, and you love science fiction, then get them all!

How Do You Spell B-O-R-I-N-G?
Revisado: 06-11-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A better story! Everything was cliche: tired, bored private investigator with interesting ability; tough, beautiful cop; big, bad evil man; even that talking skull was cliche. I couldn't listen to more than a couple of hours of it.
Would you ever listen to anything by Jim Butcher again?
I would be willing to see if he could do better with another book. Maybe this was his first try...
How did the narrator detract from the book?
He kept smacking his lips or something...it really bothered me, but maybe it won't bother everybody.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I didn't get far enough into it to find any redeeming qualities.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Stephen King at His Best!
Revisado: 06-11-13
Where does 11-22-63 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
In the top 5!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved all of the characters. Stephen King is an amazing writer, and I love the way he draws all of his characters...even the ones we meet only once or twice.
Have you listened to any of Craig Wasson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I don't think I have, but I would love to.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me happy and sad -- exactly when King wanted me to be happy or sad or concerned or stressed. He's the master writer and can get those emotions across and into his readers.
Any additional comments?
Loved it!

Historia
The chartered Zarathustra Company had it all their way. Their charter was for a Class III uninhabited planet, which Zarathustra was, and it meant they owned the planet lock stock and barrel. They exploited it, developed it and reaped the huge profits from it without interference from the Colonial Government. Then Jack Holloway, a sunstone prospector, appeared on the scene with his family of Fuzzies and the passionate conviction that they were not cute animals but little people.

Is This a Children's Book?
Revisado: 06-11-13
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I think children would like it...young children. Even teens will get tired of it. I've heard it won some awards. Maybe so; the writing is good. But the story is beyond elementary.
What was most disappointing about H. Beam Piper’s story?
It was way too elementary. I thought I was getting a book for an adult reader.
What does Peter Ganim bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He has a good voice, and he emotes sympathy.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Little Fuzzy?
The story isn't bad. I'd just make sure people understand they're buying a children's book. Maybe it was there and I just missed it.

Wonderful Series!
Revisado: 06-11-13
What made the experience of listening to We Few the most enjoyable?
this was a well-written, very entertaining book! I even loved the battle scenes and enjoyed seeing how the Prince's soldiers changed their tactics to meet the varying tactics of the enemies they fought. Each character was nuanced, and by the end of the series I was cheering for them all. Fun sci-fi, fun military science, fun hero!!
Have you listened to any of Stefan Rudnicki and Gabrielle de Cuir ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I listened to the three books that precede this in the series. Each is just as good as the next!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Spoiler alert: when Prince Roger and his martial staff enter into the queen's presence at the end of the book.
Any additional comments?
If you like sci-fi, get it. It's as fun as Buchold's Miles Vorkosigan novels, but much more intense.

Fun, Interesting, Different Kind of Book
Revisado: 06-11-13
Would you listen to A Discovery of Witches again? Why?
Yes. The story was interesting and approched the witch vs. vampire conundrum in a manner that was unexpected. And, importantly to me, the writing was well done.
Any additional comments?
Anyone interested in fantastic, magical stories will enjoy this!
