Historia
Stevie Taylor had left her sleepy Oregon hometown for a more exciting life. But after her police chief father passes away, the LAPD cop returns to Solitude and signs on as a patrol officer, hoping to heal from her loss... and from the horrific things she's seen in the city. In Solitude, everyone knows everyone else's business - and, to Stevie's dismay, local gossip soon ties her to the new police chief and a man from her past.

To short for the price!
Revisado: 04-02-16
What made the experience of listening to On Her Father's Grave the most enjoyable?
All of it was enjoyable except the length.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked most of the characters in the story.
Have you listened to any of Kate Rudd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I have listened to at least one other of Kate Rudd's performances. She did just as well in this one as she did in the other. I think she does a good job as a narrator.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Don't pay full price for your ticket
Any additional comments?
My biggest problem with this book is that it isn't worth the price for the length of it. Now I am sucked in and want to find out what happens in the rest of the series, but I am not paying that much or using a credit for each of these books when they are all about the same length. Audible needs to reduce the price on these.

Historia
When an eleven-year-old is abducted on her way to school, the FBI doesn’t waste a moment, sending agents to scour the area and embedding Special Agent Ava McLane with the distraught family. In the eye of the storm is local detective Mason Callahan, whose life is crumbling to pieces - he’s related to the victim, and his longtime confidential informant has just been murdered.

Wish the narration was different!
Revisado: 04-02-16
Would you listen to Vanished again? Why?
Yes because I thought the plot of the book was very good. I didn't care for the narration but it wouldn't stop me from listening to it again.
What did you like best about this story?
The plot
What three words best describe Nick Podehl and Amy McFadden ’s voice?
Stick to genders
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes because I wanted to find out what happened next.
Any additional comments?
The narration was not horrible but it wasn't great either. Amy McFadden has a higher pitched voice than I think works well for most of the characters. Too many of the characters sound like teens because of the high pitch. That being said, the narration wasn't terrible. But I think if you have a male and female narrator, you should have the female do all the female voices and the male do all the male voices. Having one narrator do all the male and female voices in every other chapter just means that none of the voices stay the same throughout the book. I like knowing who is talking without having to be told "Bob said" or "Sarah said."

Historia
With the best detectives in the business, cutting-edge technology, and offices around the globe, there is no investigation company quite like Private. Now, at a glittering launch party overlooking the iconic Opera House, Private Sydney throws open its doors. Craig Gisto and his newly formed team have barely raised their glasses, however, when a young Asian man, blood-soaked and bullet-ridden, staggers into the party, and what looks like a botched kidnapping turns out to be a whole lot more.

Another great book in the Private Series
Revisado: 09-11-14
What did you love best about Private Down Under?
I loved that they brought Justine in from the original Private.
What did you like best about this story?
I pretty much liked everything about this book. I like the character development. It makes me feel more for the characters and what they are going through in the book. This keeps me listening because I want to find out what happens next.
Have you listened to any of Tim Wright’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This was the first time I have heard Tim Wright read an audiobook, but I liked his performance. I would listen to other books that he reads.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I can't say that I had an "extreme" reaction to the book. I did not cry, but I did laugh a few times.
