Historia
For Milo, everything’s a bore. When a tollbooth mysteriously appears in his room, he drives through only because he’s got nothing better to do. But on the other side, things seem different. Milo visits the Island of Conclusions (you get there by jumping), learns about time from a ticking watchdog named Tock, and even embarks on a quest to rescue Rhyme and Reason. Somewhere along the way, Milo realizes something astonishing. Life is far from dull. In fact, it’s exciting beyond his wildest dreams.

My favorite childhood book
Revisado: 02-05-23
I must have read this book at least a half dozen times when I was a kid and and a few times more as an adult. This was the first time I had listened to the audiobook and Rainn was a perfect narrator for this story. his narration of this story was like he pulled the voices from my head and gave them life. I recommend this book for any child or adult that loves a great story. And I also recommend reading the hard copy as the illustrations are, in my opinion, a necessary part of the experience.

Historia
Henry Every was the 17th century’s most notorious pirate. The press published wildly popular - and wildly inaccurate - reports of his nefarious adventures. The British government offered enormous bounties for his capture, alive or (preferably) dead. But Steven Johnson argues that Every’s most lasting legacy was his inadvertent triggering of a major shift in the global economy. Enemy of All Mankind focuses on one key event - the attack on an Indian treasure ship by Every and his crew - and its surprising repercussions across time and space.

Fantastic Story
Revisado: 08-24-21
Sometimes real life is more interesting than fiction. I decided to listen to this book because of my interest in Uncharted 4. the real story of Henry Avery to me is much more interesting than that of the game which is saying something because story in the game is very interesting as well.
I thought the quality of writing in this was amazing and the narrator was one of the best, I'll be looking for more work from both of them.

Historia
One of our best-loved actors, Michael Caine has starred in over 100 films in his six-decade career, spanning classic movies like Alfie, Zulu, and The Italian Job (the inspiration for the book title) to playing Alfred opposite Christian Bale's Batman in Christopher Nolan's blockbuster Dark Knight trilogy. Caine has excelled in every kind of role - with a skill that's made it look easy. As he says, "Small parts can lead to big things. And if you keep doing things right, the stars will align when you least expect it."

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

A city of antebellum architecture, picturesque parks, and cobblestone streets, Savannah moves at a graceful pace. But for Harper McClain, the timeless beauty and culture that distinguishes her home’s Southern heritage vanishes during the dark and dangerous nights. She wouldn’t have it any other way. Decent Audiobook
Revisado: 11-21-18
The narrator does a very good job with all the characters.
The story pace and style kept me interested throughout the entire book. The only reason I give it the low rating that I have, is because it was not difficult at all to figure out who did it long before it was actually revealed.

great story about the human forces on Paradise.

this book expands on the story of the humans on Paradise. it helps to build on the overall cast of expeditionary force and as always the story is very compelling if you read through the other books.

entertaining but not compelling
Revisado: 07-24-18
I enjoyed the story overall, when I was listening to it it was entertaining, but the story was slow enough in progression that I did not feel compelled to come back to listen to it each time I stopped. I had to make myself come back and listen, when I did it was okay, but not great.
