Historia
Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and the Davy highway. It’s a pretty standard dried-up western town. There’s a pawnshop with three residents. One is seen only at night. There’s a diner, but people stopping there tend not to linger. There’s a newcomer, Manfred Bernardo, who just wants to work hard and blend in. But Manfred has secrets of his own...

This version was just OK. The music behind the story was VERY annoying. The style of music did not go with the story line. Get the regular audiobook, it’s better!!

Historia
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Disappointing read
Revisado: 01-30-18
What did you like best about How to Date Your Dragon? What did you like least?
The thing I liked best about the book was Amanda Ronconi’s reading, but the characters just weren’t likable. And the humor just wasn’t there like in Ms Harper’s other books.
Would you ever listen to anything by Molly Harper again?
I would still read Ms Harpers books again.
What about Amanda Ronconi and Jonathan Davis ’s performance did you like?
I enjoy Ms Ronconi’s readings, I have many audio books by her. Sheinjects a great deal of humor in her narrative.
Any additional comments?
If any of you are waiting for the next great read from your favorite author try Jana Deleon’s Miss Fortune Mysteries. I lmao over every book.

Disappointing
Revisado: 04-27-17
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
If you have time to kill this book is a decent way to spend it if you can get past the narrator. Donna Augustine has good story lines that can easily pull you in.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Dead?
When the illness first hit and her friends started getting sick was a pivotal point in the story.
Would you be willing to try another one of Angel Clark’s performances?
I will make a point to steer away from any books Ms Clark narrates . I listened ( again ) to the previous books before I listened to this one and by the time I got into The Dead, Ms Clark's interpretation of Dal was like finger nails o a blackboard. Whine. Whine, WHine, WHINE!!! She was fine with the other characters but not Dal. Ruined the books for me. Ms Clark, not all 18 year olds whine and it didn't make Dal sound young, it made me wonder why anyone could stand being around her.
Could you see The Dead being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No I can't see it being made into a movie. The story is too fussy and the characters did not elicit any sympathy from me the listener. I wonder if a different narrator would result in a different answer.....
Any additional comments?
I doubt I'll get the last book in the series. I have a low tolerance for whining.

Disappointing
Revisado: 05-07-16
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Ms West needed to have a strong plot and decent characters that I could have sympathized with in order for me to give the book a better rating.
What could Dahlia West have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
I think Ms West could have put more thought and planning into this book. There was almost no plot or storyline to it. It just seemed to be a vehicle for Ms West to explore the world of S&M for herself. She did this to the point she sacrificed her characters to this end. Her main characters were so unlikeable I didn't care what happened to them.
What three words best describe Mason Lloyd’s voice?
There were many times during the S&M portions of the book that Mr Lloyd sounded like Morgan Freeman which was disconcerting since I can't picture Mr Freeman abusing women. Yuck!
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Tex?
I would have aggressively cut back the sex scenes which dominated this book. They overwhelmed the story to the point that the plot became an afterthought.
Any additional comments?
I though the first book in the series was promising but this book soured me for any further books not only in this series but from this author. She is no Patricia Briggs!

Entertaining read
Revisado: 06-09-15
What other book might you compare Wolver's Gold to and why?
This series is similar to Christine Feehan's series " leopard " in that it has strong likable characters who get involved in a dangerous situation while they become emotionally involved with each other.
What does Leah Frederick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Leah Frederick brings a depth and dimension to the story with her performance. For those of us who can no longer pick up a book she brings a richness to the story that allows us to immerse ourselves in the plot.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I actually took 2 days to listen to the entire story, my family was selfish and wanted to eat lol
Any additional comments?
This is actually a series but all of the books can be read as a stand- alone.

Bit disappointing
Revisado: 09-26-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
The book was mildly entertaining. I love Ms Harper's stories but this was not one of her stronger ones.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Kelsey and her boyfriend have such a long history and he is such a good character that I this more could have been done with their breakup and less with the snow storm. I think there should have been more character development with Charles.
What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Amanda Ronconi enhances the character's development with her readings that when just reading the book would lack.
Do you think Snow Falling on Bluegrass needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
There was not enough " story " to the book to warrent a follow up

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This was a good storyline and excellent charactor development.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the relationship between Tim and George,
Which character – as performed by Alison Larkin – was your favorite?
I have to say Ms Larkin's performance of George was my favorite. She conveyed his vulnerability and the extent of his disability really well while still showing he had the same fears and determination as his siblings.
