Historia
On an ordinary Monday morning, Ariel Cafferty's phone buzzes with a disturbing text message. Something’s happened. I need to see you. Meet me under the candelabra tree ASAP. The words would be jarring from anyone, but the sender is the only man she ever loved. And it's been several years since she learned he died. Seeing Drew’s name pop up is heart-stopping. Ariel’s gut says it can’t be real. But she goes to the tree anyway. She has to. Nobody shows.

AMAZING
Revisado: 11-16-24
I am obsessed with this novel. Of course Kathleen Early crushes it again! The way she tells a story and the tone of her voice is a huge part of why the stories she reads are so enjoyable. (Also see the Karen slaughter novels she read in audible 10/10) This book so good and suspenseful. I found myself listening to it with every free moment I had. The story has unexpected turns and relationships that form between characters. I would kill for a sequel! Just down right amazing!

This summer’s not going as Abby Atkinson planned. A thieving PhD adviser, a screeching halt to her grad program, and zero job offers have left her high and dry. Nothing a little eat, pray, love across the Mediterranean can’t fix, right? Or eat, pray, tutor, more like. Her dissertation might be dead, but she can still teach. She’ll just have to do it for six weeks on a superyacht with a billionaire and his daughter. A playboy billionaire, according to the tabloids—but Abby’s not so sure.

Intriguing yet mild
Revisado: 11-13-24
I really enjoyed this book and its ability to keep me happy. Although there were times I heard myself audibly sigh due to the characters decisions the story as a whole was engaging and intriguing. I loved the progression of the characters and the writers ability to rein it in when needed. It was nice to read a romance novel that didn’t include graphic details about the characters sex lives. I liked how it was explained and shared with us the readers. Definitely a great read and would recommend to others who enjoy a good romance novel.

10/10 on this one
Revisado: 05-02-23
By this point that I am writing my review, I have read many of Colleen Hoovers novels. Confess is by far one of my top 3. I just love how the story progresses. There’s always a twist when it comes to a Colleen Hoover book but the twists in this particular book had my emotions bouncing around. While reading some books, I feel the frustration of the twist and the deep desire to know how it turns out. With confess, I felt less of the frustration and more intrigue. I struggled to balance my dire need to find out what happens with my intense want for the story to never end. Overall amazing book and I loved every minute I got to read it. Thank you Colleen Hoover for your continued work and bringing all the feelings every time.

Historia
Best-selling author Bryan Burrough recently made a shocking discovery: The small town of Temple, Texas, where he had grown up, had harbored a dark secret. One of his high school classmates, Danny Corwin, was a vicious serial killer. In this chilling tale, Burrough raises important questions of whether serial killers can be recognized before they kill or rehabilitated after they do. It is also a story of Texas politics and power that led the good citizens of the town of Temple to enable a demon who was their worst nightmare.

This book was one of the free audible original books for the month. I was very pleased with the story. It was able to keep my attention and I wanted to know what would happen to the killer.

Intense
Revisado: 11-21-16
This book frustrated me. I found myself often yelling, "come on! Just tell them!" Or "Be honest with josh! Tell him you love him". Her relationship with josh had me tied in and made me angry sometimes when things didn't go nh way, but that's what makes this a great book. The way that a book can tie me in so quickly and having me feel real emotions over the story just shows how good it is. In my opinion, this was honest, brutally honest. The really shows how sexual assault can effect people and how hard it is to tell, especially when you know the person. The way I used to be had be tied in and I couldn't put it down. It was a great story and experience.

For someone who made a career out of oversharing on the Internet, Tyler Oakley has a shocking number of personal mishaps and shenanigans to reveal in his first book: He experienced a legitimate rage blackout in a Cheesecake Factory; he had a fashion stand-off with the White House Secret Service; he crashed a car in front of his entire high school in an Arby's uniform; he projectile vomited while bartering with a grandmother.

Historia
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten. The Fault in Our Stars is insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw. It brilliantly explores the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

Perfectly unperfect
Revisado: 01-02-14
If you could sum up The Fault in Our Stars in three words, what would they be?
My three words would be lovely, intelligent, deep
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fault in Our Stars?
One of the most memorable moments of Fault in Our Stars was the moment when Hazel rewrote the diagram Augustus drew about guys with one leg losing their virginity.
Which character – as performed by Kate Rudd – was your favorite?
I can't choose one character as a favorite, mostly because they are so much a like. Therefore my favorite characters are Augustus and Hazel.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This book made me just want drop everything I had to do and just listen to this book. I listen to about 4 hours of it the first night. It is definitely a book I wanted to listen to all at once.
Any additional comments?
Kate Rudd definitely read A Fault in Our Stars beautifully, as it was intelligently written.
